Has anyone tried the Dark Secrets demo? I d/l and started playing, basically groping my way through a forest with a flashlight. I was called away and I quit without saving. When I attempted to play again (starting from scratch) I seemed to be in a completely different game: I was in a small european town. I attempted to talk to an individual and the game froze, could not move and had to cntrl/alt/del out. what happened?

The forest scene was the Prologue. If you opted to skip that on your second play, that's why you went straight to the town, which is where the game properly begins.

I'm not sure about your game freeze, though. Did you try adjusting your graphics quality from the pop-up at the very beginning? Try a lower setting. I experienced *really* slow, poor movement until I switched to "Fast" setting. It still isn't great.

Thanks Rush I'll try fiddling with the settings. I thought I had entered the Twilight Zone...
