I am in North Silverlake and am missing an ancient relic. I know it is supposed to be on top of the south tower in the southern part of this region. However, I can't find any way into the tower. There are two doors that should lead there but they are locked and cannot be picked. Does anyone have the solution? Thanks in advance.

Rowan, I've not played this but there is a very comprehensive guide Here. In addition, I found a Video Walkthrough Here. luck

Thanks, looney, I am using the gamepressure guide. That's how I know where the missing relic is. However, this guide doesn't say how to get to it. So further help is still needed. There hasn't been much discussion in this forum about this game, so I hope that there is someone who has played it. wave

Rowan, did you try going to the Youtube walkthrough to watch them get into the tower?

Rowan, how are you liking Arcania? I played the demo and was not impressed. It didn't seem like a Gothic game and the voice work was pretty bad, but I don't want to miss out on something that might be worth playing.

hiya Jackie, I played & loved Gothic 1, 2, & 3, but you're right, 4 doesn't feel the same. Where is Nameless? And wwhat do these people hanging around have to do wwith the game? Still, it does seem like a good game & I intend to continue. I had a very hard time finding a computer I could play it on, but I have a new laptop that seems to be okay. Do you like the game?

Hi Barb. I was looking for some input from people who have played the game. After I played the demo, I didn't have much interest in the game. If I hear that it is worth playing, I will probably check into it again. I appreciate your response. I am playing Two Worlds Two right now and enjoying it.

This is my least favourite of the 4 Gothic games. However, that said, I am still getting some enjoyment from playing. To me it is a nice filler between other more interesting games. This game is very linear and once you have explored one location you go on to the next one. My biggest criticism is that the characters all look alike. There are maybe 3 or 4 models and then that is repeated. This time there are also female characters and there are about 2 models of those. It's like walking around a world of clones. Combat seems somewhat easier in this game but I haven't played all the way through yet. I'm about 3/4 finished. My biggest challenge is finding all items in 4 different collection quests. I like the game but it is not a great game.

Rowan, I'm glad you are enjoying it even if it has significant drawbacks. wave

Thanks, Rowan. I guess I will be picking this up. I hear it is great looking even if the characters and voices are not so hot.

That's a shame. I was hoping to hear good things about Gothic 4. I loved the first two; they're among my favourite games of all time. I started the third one three or four times, but never quite got into it because of frame rate issues. Maybe this laptop will be able to play G3, but I might pass on 4.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hagatha, if you haven't played Risen, it could be a successor to the Gothic games. It feels very much like Gothic. Also, Nehrim, an Oblivion mod is very good. I liked it more than Oblivion.

I hope you can get Gothic 3 working. I did like it quite a bit.

Have you played any Thief 2 fan missions you could recommend? I've played all the ones you did mention and haven't seen any lately that appeal.

I have Risen, but it doesn't play well on my laptop. I might try it again some day on my desktop.

I think I'll like Gothic 4 once I get into it. The graphics are good. I don't know why they would make a Gothic without Nameless, though!
