When I tried to install this game I got the message: "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running". There's no compatibility option in Properties when I right click on the disk. Will I have to go to GOG and download a better version? Thanks

fildil, I looked at the games that are listed at the top of this section that are supposed to work with win7 and this is listed.. so I am thinking it should work... You are not loading it in your program files are you... Someone techie should come along to help you...but it is on Drac's list

I did find it on Drac's list, that's why I thought I could install it, but it won't even let me get started.

The note in Draclvr's list says Needed to install and play in XP compatibility mode in 64-bit Win 7. So change the compatibility mode of the Setup/Install file on the game CD to XP compatibility before attempting to install it. (Don't try to set the Compatibility on the disc itself. Browse the contents of the disc and look for the Setup file)

Yes, what Jenny said. Browse to the setup file on the disk and right click to access the Compatibility options.

Playing now on Win 7 64-bit. I set the compatibility tab to XP service pak 2. I am in Hollywood now, no problems so far. One of my all time best RPG's along side the two witcher games. Have fun playing. Dunn
