I do know he said that Diablo had a more rigorous video requirement than WoW. Well that will be down to the fact that WoW is eight years old, and Diablo III is new (the boxed version is still supported, and that is was released in 2004)

I loaded the beta the first day and it seems like it's going to be fun. The first day I couldn't get it to launch, but when I looked at the forums other people were having the same problem. The second day when I tried to launch it updated some files and launched and I played for quite a while.
According to Blizzard some features aren't available in beta -- I'm not sure which since I didn't really read far into the article. Hopefully as I play more I'll have a better idea.
I created a wizard -- may try something different later on. I like the idea of the witch doctor, but the witch doctor females are too heavyset for me, lol. I have enough weight problems myself, and want a svelte toon.

Jean, that is funny. Did you look at the size of the Warrior woman? I don't normally care but I did a double take. I'm playing a monk and loving it, but I may at some point try a warrior or a demon hunter. That's the fun part of Beta to me...I'm not loosing anything by trying different classes. edit: Just read that the Beta closes on May 1.

Hi Looney:
I haven't tried any other of the classes yet. I think I'm level 6 or 7. Maybe I'll try a different one tonight.
One thing I didn't like, and I don't know if it was a glitch, was at one point I had cleared a lot of a tomb, and put the game on hold for about 15 minutes. When I came back it had disconnected me and put me back at the start of the tomb. I didn't lose the things I had picked up, but had to clear things over again.

Yea, I noticed that too, but so far things have gone down pretty easily so I don't mind. I downloaded the game today, so when it goes live, I'll be ready. I figured I'd beat the crowd.

hi everyone. I've been curious about Diablo 3 for awhile, but I know that the first two were "top down" kind of games and I'm not crazy about that, so I was wondering if this one will be that way too?
Thanks! Tracy

I read yesterday that they wiped all the characters, but that article said the beta wasn't closing until May 1. I wonder if they closed it early?

Lindy, I don't think so. I think everything is wiped when the beta is over, but maybe you'll find that bow again.
I played hunter this morning, monk the last time....both were fun!

Color me confused? Is there an open beta? I know I read the current beta is shutting down on May 1st, but nothing since then. edit: Here is one link for that announcement. Thanks Misslilo

DArn, got back on today and they deleted my wizard. So I started a witch doctor, was on about 15 minutes and the server went down.

Do you think they'll change the camera view when it goes live? I sure am not fond of top down. I'll play it if I have to but I prefer being able to scroll in and around my toon.
