You can zoom in on your toon by hitting the "z" key. To zoom out hit it again. wave

Thanks, Lindy! Does anyone know if Witch Doctors can use bows? I picked up one and can equip it but how do I get her to shoot? lol

She's got some great spells.

Looney, when you are in the game hit "esc" then
options and look for keybindings. The list for controls is in there.

Jean, I had the same thing with the Witch Doctor. I had weapons, but wasn't able to use them. All she did was blow darts.

Thanks Lindy, no time till the kids go home sad But I will remember that.

Debra that stinks. Have you googled to see if there is help out there? Have you tried temporarily turning off your virus scanner/firewall? I have to do that sometimes to get those types of files to dload. luck

Interesting. I just found out you train the Blacksmith to make things for you. And I found the emotes in the keybindings.

Does anyone know, when it goes live will we be able to change the appearance of our toons? If public games mean we play with other people we'd all look alike otherwise. Or does public mean just with friends you invite? I'm a big vague on how actual gameplay will be once we go live.

Jean, I know that going public groups other players who are on the same general quests as you with you...no asking.

Hubby and I discovered that to play with friends you needed to add them to your friends list, then right click their name and invite them to play. The one time we did it, I invited Soot so we had my quests....not both his and mine. But we could play together cooperatively and we could trade items and gold. We also discovered that when playing together, your loot was only visible to you so no worrying about "Stop picking up all my loot" like some of the games we have played together.

We have not been able to play since (life is Not cooperating with us) so that is all I know. lol

Yes, Jean I have spent 12 hours on D3 and tried everything suggested in the forums and spent 18 hours of my time and followed everything in the forums for MoP. Just wasn't meant to be, but I'm glad you guys are enjoying them rah bravo

I'm sorry you can't get on Debra. Hopefully once it goes live you won't have that problem. I haven't tries MoP yet -- I have too much stuff on my computer to download another beta.

Hmm. I know Diablo isn't scheduled to go live till May 15. I prepurchased the game a month ago and downloaded the client so I'd be ready when it goes live. But I don't see an icon for it, or a list in the program files. Does anyone know what it shows up under? I know I've seen it before!

JeanK, that is a great question. I just redownloaded it to my new computer. I'm hoping it shows up on the 15th. lol

Hmmmm, just looked under Program files and discovered that I downloaded Starcraft....not Diablo. Take 2 in the works!

Edit: Jean, mine shows up under Program Files on my 2nd hard drive as that is where I install games. Yours should be visible using Explore. I don't however have an icon yet, but the game itself is there. wave

Looney,

When you download the client do you click Run or Save? I click on run and I got all these choices on where to place it. I have Win 7 64-bit. I don't have a clue on what I'am doing. rotfl

Lindy, normally when you click "run" you get a choice to accept the default or to Browse to wherever you want to save. You can accept the default, which is your C drive. If you do that, then the game would be in C:/Program Files (x86)/Diablo. (Slashes may be pointing the wrong way, but the folders should be correct)

Follow the instructions below for checking that with Explore (not Explorer, the browser...confused me forever)

If you want to install to a drive other than your C, you should be able to select Browse or Change and then 1) click on "my computer."

That brings up your drives...2) select the one you store your games on. For instance, my C drive has only my operating system. I put everything else on my other drive, which it seems would be D and was on my XP, but on the new one it is F.

Anyway, click on the drive you want to send the game to.

3) From the list on the drive you picked, click on Program files.

4) Then you click on "Accept" or "Apply."

That should send the game to whichever drive you selected. Depending on your connection, it may take a bit to finish downloading.

To be sure it is there, you can open up Explore (right click on the Windows key at the far left bottom). Select "Open Explore."

Once the game has finished downloading, follow the steps above (1-4) after opening Explore and you should find a Folder called "Diablo_III-8370-enUS-INstaller." If it's there you were successful but you won't have an icon yet. I'm assuming we will be able to open that folder and run setup or install once the game goes Live, but that is a total guess. I'm sure I will be able to find out though for sure before the 15th. luck

I redownloaded it and put it on my desktop. As I was getting ready to save it I saw that the first time I downloaded it it showed up under networking something or other, which is strange because I don't have a network set up.

Do you think the game will get confused since I have two save now? Should I somehow delete the other one? I'm getting confused here. Can I just delete the other folder?

Thanks, Looney. YOu know, since I retired I don't have anyone I can ask technical questions. I live in a 55 and older community and most folks here don't have a computer!

Edited to say: Good grief! I didn't realize beta was over. I guess that means I can delete the beta stuff. Well, back to Wow for a week or so!

I know what you mean Jean....I'm lucky in having kids I can ask and a hubby who can handle most of the things I break on the computer.

Speaking of asking, I called my middle son. His advice is to delete both and download it again to be sure there all files end up where they should be.

If you don't have unlimited web he said then delete the oldest one, but he said if it were himself, he'd delete both. luck
