I've been playing this game, saving often and last night I got to chapter 7, where Blore and Patrick are looking to see who's missing (before the Doc is found dead) I have sixteen saves in my saved folder, but now, the game won't find ANY.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, many times to no luck. Any idea of what I may be able to do?

Can you still find your saves in a folder on your hard drive?

If so, double check that the location of the folder, as well as the name of it, hasn't been altered in any way from how it was originally.

If you can't find the folder, check your Recycle Bin in case it was somehow deleted and ended up in there.

Thanks for the reply, Rushes. Yes, the saves folder is on my computer in the app data >virtual store>the adventure company as the other AC games, sand my savesbare there but when I go to load a game, there's nothing in-game

1. Back up your saves somewhere outside the game's save folder.

2. Start a new game and create 16 new saves, one after the other. Make sure you can load all these saves.

3. Copy your backed-up saves back into the save folder (overwrite the freshly made saves) and see if you can load the saves.

Note that each save consists of an .ac1 and a .bmp file. If you're missing either of them, the save won't work.

If you want to try someone else's saves, there are saved games here

Guess what, I found the problem, though to me it makes no sense.

Every other time, this game's saves have been like this:
C:\Users\Jen\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\The Adventure Company\And Then There Were None

I did as you recommended, but still it couldn't find it, so I checked the folder for the game's install and for some odd reason that's where it's saving them....so I moved my saves over and opened the game and they're back laugh

Could the change in location be from going from Vista to windows 7? (this is my first time playing this game on my current laptop)

The folder you listed IS the folder for the game's install -- at least it's one possible location for it. Where is this other folder for the game's install that you found? Is it in C:\Program Files(x86) or is it in C:\Users?

Possibly. I've never played the game on either Vista or Windows 7, so I don't know where the default install location would be on those versions of Windows. Maybe it is different for Windows 7 than for Vista -- at least after all the latest Microsoft Updates are installed.

It's installed at C:\Program Files (x86).

Before I got this current laptop, I'd had a laptop with Vista and the AC games installed at C:\Program Files\The Adventure Company\GAME NAME, and saved at C:\Users\Jen\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\The Adventure Company\GAME NAME

I assumed this one would do the same (aside from being Program Files (x86) instead of just Program Files because that's what Murder On The Orient Express does, but atleast I found out what I was looking for and all's good again. Thanks for your help, Jenny, I truly appreciate it.
