I just have a quick question. I have heard that if you have this OS there is an app that will allow you to play older games. Is this so? And where would you find it? Oops, guess that is two questions. Thank you. smile

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you’re in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

I think you're thinking of "XP mode," which does essentially the same thing as Virtual PC with XP installed on it. XP mode is only good for games that don't require a graphics card with 3D acceleration.

For a Windows 95 or 98 game you'll get better compatibility with Virtual PC (or VMware Player) with Windows 95 or 98 installed. For DOS games you're better off with DOSBox.

Thank you so much, Jenny100. This helps me to understand it better. I will probably go to 7 Pro, XP mode which will enable some games and also go with the Virtual PC for older games. At some point I may delve into DOSBox as I think I may have a couple of DOS games. yes
