I recently came on this same forum to ask for some help downloading a game from The Adventure Shop. After many frustrating attempts I managed to do so. How I did it I really am not sure. I always use their downloader but this last game just won't download that way for me. Now today I bought another game and I am having the same problems...I e-mailed their tech support again but in all honestly I find their responses are just more tech talk and it confuses me even more. Today the message I got when I tried to install my game said, an error has occured so the game cannot be launched. So now when I go back to my account and go to that game it just keeps giving me the same message. I thought I had deleted all the game files so I could try again. But now I am even more confused!

linda333,

When I've bought games from The Adventure Shop, they've sent me an email with the download links in it. I've always just used my browser. Have you tried that?

It does sound as if you got a defective game file using their downloader.

Gil.

I've never bothered with their downloader either.

I was going to add something about the Adventure shop but I am not sure what the problem was. I ordered The Whispered World. I got it downloaded but my virus software gave me a high risk issue. The adventure shop gave me a work around but as the game was loading it said it wanted to change something in Windows and wouldn't load. I again tried to force the load and it hung my whole computer. They even gave me another load since the promo was off. still had the same results. So that being said I am not sure if it was safe or Norton was being overly sensitive. Does anyone else have problems with their virus software?
