Will be released on Tuesday, June 26. More information (for people who has finished the game) is found HERE Will this make us less unhappy about the endings?

What? Tomorrow? Gah! That's unexpected. I too hope questions are answered.

In this thread at the Bioware ME forums http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/324/index/12690832/1Chris Priestly from Bioware points both to a Podcast about the Extended Cut http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3y7xk1_x8koand an FAQ for the Extended Cut. http://masseffect.bioware.com/about/extended_cut/In the podcast, Jessica Merizan from Bioware interviews Mac Walters and Casey Hudson, the two bosses of the ME3 franchise. It spans nearly eleven minutes - and I think it's pretty good listen. Some quotes from the FAQ: How do I get the Extended Cut? •The Extended Cut can be downloaded from Xbox LIVE, Origin on PC, and PlayStation Network at no additional cost. What is included in the Extended Cut? •The Extended Cut expands on the endings of Mass Effect 3 through additional scenes and epilogue sequences. It provides more of the answers and closure that players have been asking for. It gives a sense of what the future holds as a result of the decisions made throughout the series. And it shows greater detail in the successes or failures based on how players achieved their endings. Does the Extended Cut change the endings? •The Extended Cut is an expansion of the original endings to Mass Effect 3. It does not fundamentally change the endings, but rather it expands on the meaning of the original endings, and reveals greater detail on the impact of player decisions. I don't know how players will respond this extended cut dlc, but remember that the Extended Cut DLC doesn't change the ending, it clarifies them. And best of all - we get it for free PS: At 1.9 GB this EC DLC seems to stretch the download limit of both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 as well? while leaving people without broadbanc connection in the dark as you'll need to download it thorugh Origin, Xbox Live, or PSN.

I cannot download it, something similar happened to me with the From Ashes DLC, I managed to download this one but I don't remember what I had to do.
I restarted Origin and restarted As Administrator but still I press the Get it Now and nothing happens, any ideas?

Mcc, you don't have a firewall up do you? I know that can stop some downloads. I wonder if the server is just overloaded.
I can't find any chatter about folks not being able to download, but will keep looking.

Mcc, is it possible that it is not quite "out"? Unlike my previous search, I'm seeing forum chatter about it not being quite live. I had a similar experience with Diablo 3..the button was there but it would not download for a day or so. I did see an announcement on Joystiq that the PC Dlc was out but the forums have been saying it might be tomorrow before it's live for eveyone? I don't have the game so I don't have personal experience. Have you emailed Bioware for help? Or are they not responsive? There is a consolidated thread Here.

Thanks again!
This morning it was not here either but a few hours ago appeared as an add-on. I'll wait until tomorrow and see.
When I had problems with the From Ashes DLC I emailed them and they were completely not responsive.

It should be out now for Xbox360 and the PC all over the world. The PS3 users might have to wait till tomorrow untill the PSN store updates - or maybe untill JUly 4th 2012... There's a thread here that deals with how people have got the DLC working: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/324/index/12690832/88#12776648Please go to around page 80 or so.... As for emailing Bioware, if you do email Bioware, chances are you'll be re-directed to the EA Game Support. It is also possible that many people are trying to download it so the server is blocked - sort of when a lot of cars are trying to come onto the highway all at once.

Thanks Karsten! I'll try again tomorrow maybe the hi-way is not as busy. In "your" forum I found this other that seems to be helpful. I'll see tomorrow to it. With the other problem I went to support and posted directly from there but they never helped. For what I read the changes probably are not worth the effort of playing the last part again

Thanks Karsten, for your help.
It's too bad that folks are having a hard time getting to the content.

Today Origin has the instructions to download the DLC, exactly what I am doing but still with not success, maybe there are still too many people. I watched one ending I don't plan to take and the new forth ending. Nothing really new or good but a few cut-scenes added.

Glad you were able to get it Karsten. I had read that it was a large download.

Karsten,
This is exactly what I am doing, from the game menu I choose downloadable content and get the Games Add Ons screen and in it the Extended Cut, it says Free and has an orange button "Get it Now" but when I press the button nothing happens, it just stay the same.
What "reaction" did you get when pressing it?

Today finally it downloaded, supposedly, it took several hours from the time it said it was downloading until it was actually doing so, after it started it did not take that long. I had played online to have enough points for the "best" ending but since they discount 2% everyday I'll have to go online again before starting the final battles. Probably it doesn't matter anyway because as I understand ( I haven't seen that ending) there are not more news about Shepard surviving apart from the few seconds we had in the original ending.

I played online to get more than the 4000 EMS, only to read that this has been lowered to 3100. I wanted to have the best ending to know if there was more feedback about what happened to him is he had a breath. Played a couple of endings, in my opinion too little too late. It explains some things, only some, but leaves many question anyway. The endings are the same as before, plus another one even worse. The DLC makes one to believe that no ending is that bad after all, after all that fighting it seems to be that whatever one chooses has its advantages. As before only one ending allows Shepard to live. Bigger spoiler and in the case he survives all his team seems to ignore that he is alive. Liara (in my case) however seems to have a glimpse of the truth. One only sees the famous breath, nothing else
