I have an XP that is not connected to the internet. The BF game Fishdom was downloaded from BF when the computer was connected. Does the computer need to be connected to the internet in order to play?

Once a Big Fish game has been activated on a computer, you don't have to be online to play it on that particular computer. Usually they activate immediately after installing, so you should be fine.

One more question. Can I copy a game that has been activated and put it on the XP?

If it's been activated on a computer other than the XP, it will probably play as a demo on the XP and expire after a certain amount of time (if it plays at all). The game folder doesn't contain activation information.

If you played the game on the XP, and then uninstalled it, you can install the game on another computer, copy the game folder from that computer to the XP, and the XP will remember that that particular game has been activated before.

At least that's been my experience with Big Fish games.

Thanks, I am going to try it when we get Bill's computer back. We took it to Office Depot and he ran the diagnostics on it. Found that all the problems we were having on it, freezing, running slow and blue screen of death is software related. Anyway, he is fixing it for $40. We didn't think that was too bad.

Thanks for all your help.

If Office Depot reinstalls Windows, the activation information will be lost. But if they just clean out the bad software, it should be OK.

He did not reinstall Windows. The computer is a lot faster but still freezes up. I guess we will just leave it go for the time being. When Bill is through playing, he just turns it off. One of these days we will bite the bullet and reinstall Win XP.
