Is there an uninstall option in the Game file? Look in All Programs for it.

Yes there is but it won't let me use it I can find it in progammes 86, only not anywhere else.
In 86 it is a data file and in Login in it is an application file, I tried using hunter mode and sliding it across to the programme, but it would not work,I tried right clicking these files but there is no delete, so I am stuck!!

If nothing else works, you could do a system restore. I had to do that to get rid of the Big Fish Game Manager. It would "not" go any other way.

monbron,When you restore it won't have any effect on your e-mail. It only deletes what you downloaded. best thing for you to do is restore just before you downloaded deponia. Don't go any farther back. I've restored a lot of times. If you downloaded anything after you downloaded deponia you will loose it. Richard

monbron,
Just to add to what kjos said, when you do a system restore, you have the option of seeing what will be deleted so you can decide if you want to go ahead with it.
Don't just delete the files. You're sure to miss something - in the registry for instance - and you might make it impossible to uninstall by any means short of a system restore.

monbron,
When you go into system restore, check the little box at the lower left that says "show more restore points" and it should take you back farther than the 12th.

monbron, I know this doesn't help with your issue, but if you are running Windows 7, just click on Help and Support in the Start menu and do a search on System Restore. It will list everything you need to know about System Restore.

monbron,
You can create system restore points but you have to do it before you have a problem, not after.
That really sucks, having so many problems with an 8 month old computer. Good luck getting them ironed out!

It sounds like the computer hospital is a good move... you could have more going on here than a stubborn game.

monbron,I have never created a restore point. I guess it does it all by itself. Every day for the past three months I can restore any day. Richard

Good question about how the computer decides, monbron. Mine used to go back months, now it only goes back to 8/7. Windows has updated four times beginning with the 7th and for each update there is a restore point. I have six in all, including an automatic restore point and a system image restore point. Perhaps it has to do with the number of restore points that are kept before it dumps some. I guess it dumps some. Yoohoo, InlandAZ? Gil.

Quote from the Help and Support in Windows 7, but it works the same in the other operating systems. It's a matter of the space allocated for System Restore points and how big your hard drive is.
Restore points are saved until the disk space System Restore reserves is filled up. As new restore points are created, old ones are deleted. If you turn off system protection (the feature that creates restore points) on a disk, all restore points are deleted from that disk. When you turn system protection back on, new restore points are created.
The amount of storage is a function of the size of your hard drive as it is a percentage.
To store restore points, you need at least 300 megabytes (MB) of free space on each disk that is 500 MB or larger.
System Restore might use between three and five percent of the space on each disk. As the amount of space fills up with restore points, it deletes older restore points to make room for new ones. System Restore doesn't run on disks smaller than 1 gigabyte (GB).

Thanks everyone, Jenny100 I have read your http and my head is spinning! but I will give it a go this pm and see what happens I read about size of disc and free space and checked in total on 'c' I have 167 free gb of 297 total gb, not sure how this computes but I thought I had tons of free space. Ok did it, took a while to find services but I did and changed them to automatic but guess what even though I had done everything correctly I still didn't have any more restart points Other that the one I had created for today in fact the other 3 I had yesterday had disappeared?? Lets hope the engineers know what to do. Right have got the hard drive back although they could not find a problem it is working much better and they managed to get rid of all but one file (it is classified as an attachment) which I have asked the techies at Adventure shop about, I have also created a restore point now. The big question is should I attempt to redownload Deponia once I have got rid of the attachment or is it still likely not to load properly due to something in my coputer make up??

In windows 7, if you delete the config.ini file from the games application data folder the game runs. A new config.ini file will be created next time you run the game and this one will be correct and can stay there.
In windows 7 the file on my machine was found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\*your computername*\Local Settings\Application Data\Daedalic Entertainment\Deponia
