Hi monbron,

This is where the developer Pilaus said that the saves are for Windows 7:

Where the program files are there should be a Private Moon Studios folder and inside a Yoomurjak folder. Open it and look for a Data folder. From that folder open the following: Save/Level_00. The last 8 saves are listed there with date and exact time.

But it sounds as though you've checked there already?

You are right, I can bring nothing up under Private Moon and no saves for Yoomurjak, mind you I don't have complete faith in the search facility it hasn't found stuff before that was there. Now I have to remember where I downloaded the game from and maybe look there. thanks

The Private Moon Studios folder is under program files and Yoomurjak has to be in that folder.

Hi Pilaus, I have found the following but I don't know if it is the save file, Programme files(86)/Yoormurjak/data/system/intro/pms.smv. There is no Private Moon studio file that I can locate anywhere and this is the nearest I can locate to Yoormajak, I thought I had done more than 1 save but I can't open this file. It's not a problem I just wanted to start the game again because I it's a while since I started it and I had forgotten a lot, so please don't worry I wil play on and save a couple of times more and see what I can find then. Thank you for your help. thanks

Monbron, this is not a save. But wherever this system folder is, the save folder should be in the same place. If you search your system for file names such as agon_01.sav to agon_08.sav you might get some result. But if you haven't done any saves you will not see a save folder. When saving, always click in one of the slots otherwise you only get the autosave.

I found saved games for Yoomurjak's ring in the following:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Yoomurjak\Data\Save\level_00

the saved game files are named: agon_01
etc.

Problem there, I go into Yoomurjak\data and there are no saves??? I have Bin, level and system as files but no saves and I have investigated the other files numerous times and there are no saves, I must have a weird system, however as you say saves are called agon I will search for that and let you know. insane

Tried that and nothing, anybody else any ideas, its not that important now but its bugging me I don't like to be beaten mad

Monbron,

I can't remember if Yoomurjak did this or not, but some games make a folder for saves in My Documents.

Uh...just noticed, Yoomurjak saves are named agon? That sounds highly unlikely to me!

I found a great search engine called Everything. It installs very quickly and searches everything on your hard drive. If you enter agon* you will find your files.
Here is the link:
Void Tools - Everything
Great little tool.

monbron,

On the FAQ page it tells you more than you want to know. grin Under Searching - 2.3, it tells you how to use a wild card. (That *)

You probably want the first download link, the .exe.

birddog's link worked for me, btw.

Gil.

Well what a wonderful little tool, yes it did find my saves in ; C/Users/Login/appdata/local/virtual store/programme86/yoormurjak/data/save. But the save file will not let me open it, I would have to use a web service to do so??

Anyway I have now discovered another tool to inhabit my crowded desktop, no doubt I will need it again knowing me, Perhaps it will help me with my problems with Deponia and missing files. happydance

monbron,

The saves won't open in your game? Those web services either charge to tell you what opens the save file or tell you they have no clue. They should point you back at the game.

If your game won't open it, try moving that folder into the game file and see if that does anything.

Not that I know but I'd be trying that.

Gil.

Thanks Traveler, I decided to leave well alone, I have in fact finished Yoomurjak and thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was interesting to finally locate the files which I knew must be somewhere and I thought I had checked every single file - just shows I don't know everything!! insane
