I use it now and then and I got the change too, but I haven't noticed any change in my bookmark font size. I'll check more when I get back from taking the kitty from he]] to the vet.

Just get back from the vet unscathed. Hmmm... when I click on "other bookmarks," the font is the same small font as the ones displayed under the address bar. But then, there is only one bookmark there. Now, when I click on "imported from Firefox" in the bookmarks under the address bar, it definitely looks different. The font itself appears to be the same, but there is much more spacing between each of the bookmarks in the list - in other words, a lot of white space. I hadn't opened that up before, so that's the first time I've seen it. It was kind of shocking at first, but I think I really like it - the bookmarks are much easier to read when they aren't crammed together so tightly.
I use iGoogle for my homepage and I notice the same thing in my Gmail gadget - more spacing between each line. All the rest of the gadgets appear the same.
Is this the same thing, or am I still on the wrong track?

Could this be the issue? I happened to run across this thread while looking for a similar issue in another program. Quote: "The font of the tabs and bookmarks toolbar is linked to the fonts control in "Personalize" (in Windows 7). Under window color and appearance, go to advanced, use the menu to select "Message Box" this is the one that controls the font for the browser. I had to change my fonts because the one I had set would not display Korean characters and when I went through and changed all of them suddenly my Google chrome was different as well." How to Change Font and Font Size Used for Tab and Toolbar Bookmarks?

My version of Chrome is not broken, it just updated a feature in a way that I don't particularly like and wondered if it could be changed.
Thanks for the responses.
I'll learn to live with it but I'll keep my eye out for a solution.
~~ADDED~~
Found a solution on the Chrome forum to reverse the change. Add a line to the shortcut to disable it.

Glad you found the answer. I just ran across it myself: Disable Chrome's New Menu Style Why on earth didn't they just put that in the options choices? Very strange.

Sounds like they did this for the people who are using touch. Which is fine, but for us "luddites" who are still using mouse and keyboard, why not give us an option? Sheesh...

Yes, that's it, Draclvr. There actually is an option setting, but its meaning isn't clear unless you are used to touch screens:Touch Optimized UI.
I only use Chrome on my tablet every once in a while, so never noticed menu spaces one way or the other!
