For those of you who might need instructions for cryptic crossword clues, check out this page .

These have all been created by a variety of well-known constructors. There may be one or two that we might question, but they're still fun. Please explain all answers.

-1. Dug up from bottom of bayou at the start of day (9)
-2. Brewer shot outside hotel (8)
-3. A job involves silver in Alaskan city (9)
-4. Half a dozen annoy male (6)
-5. It'll hold a baby fish I catch (8)
-6. Result of wearing on, we say (5)
-7. Intended media broadcast (5)
-8. Tear middle of poster in retaliation (7)
-9. Some will swallow no bug (5)
-10. A victory that hurts Southern states (5)

The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.
