Hi everyone; Since most games today are download, I now own about 50 of them. They are from Gamersgate; adventure shop; GOG; Phoenix; & Viva Media. Most of them I downloaded on my XP, only a few are on my win7. I was wondering if I play the games that are on my XP, will I end up on line to play them. I'm worried because XP is not supported anymore.

Each website is different, if the game runs on XP it shouldn't matter if it needs a DRM check on the internet though.

Thanks Ana; I thought I would have to redownload all the games to win 7. Now that would be a real pain. LOL

You should be just fine. Enjoy the games!

GOG games won't. I think Phoenix is also DRM-free like GOG.
If you've already activated the games from the other websites you listed, they won't try to access the Internet either.
If you have any Steam games, they may try to access the Internet unless you have Steam set to offline mode.

Judith, I ONLY have a WIN XP computer, and all of the recent games are working well on it----so FAR. I don't doubt that I might have gamer problems in the future, but I'll just hold on to "Old Reliable" until I CAN'T, anymore. HAPPY GAMING

Thank you everyone, that is a relief. Do you know how long it would take to download all the games on Win 7? I was not looking forward to that. LOL.

Probably a lot longer than copying the installers to a USB flash drive. Of course if you trashed the installers after installing the games, you'd have to download them all over again.

Since this is more a computer related post, I'll move this to Glitches.
