Is anyone writing a walkthrough? I am in Lovisa's apartment at the beginning, have checked everything out (I believe so anyway) and don't know what to do next, cannot leave yet and don't know why......

Did you find the mail on the floor?

Re: Remedy - 11/30/04 05:29 PM

Mail should be in the hallway... have you examined your suitcase??

Re: Remedy - 12/01/04 10:09 AM

You've most probably got well past this point by now.
'Originally', the package is not there. You have to do at least two actions in a certain order for it to materialise.

Re: Remedy - 12/01/04 05:51 PM

Thanks Sue, Ana, Tigger & LenG. I have found the letter in the hallway at the apartment (Lovisa's) and examined my suitcase too. Now that I have opened the letter and read it I have left and went to see Conrad's lady friend, been to the tower and looked around, now I have the partial walkthrough and will try some more.

Yes, I am. Have found one item at the church. Do not know what it goes to. Or where to go from here. Will wait for LenGand some more hints/help.
Am I the only one playing this game yet?

Betty Lou, which item did you find in the church and where have you been? I can help you, just let me know what you are stuck on.

Re: Remedy - 12/02/04 10:38 AM

AFAIK ... until somewhat later in the game, you only need to 'obtain' ONE item in the church (see spoiler below) ... and then USE it.

The "church key" !
Posted By: Betty Lou

Re: Remedy - 12/02/04 03:53 PM

I found that key but it does not open that locked door out in the church 'lobby', and I cannot find another door to try it on.

Ana, I had a ladder to go out a window in Gustav Grip's basement, but can't take it with me and can't go out by the stuck basement door.

Is it possible to take the ladder?

Thanks.

Hi Chief....yes, you need to find an object in Gustav's office that you can use to hold the door open.

Do we have to play it?

Thanks.

Re: Remedy - 12/03/04 03:17 AM

You're safe Chief....you don't need to play the piano. There is one "musical" puzzle but it's fairly easy (only 4 buttons).

Re: Remedy - 12/04/04 01:31 AM

OK, I used my key from the pulpit on the purple doors, have searched the priests dressing area etc, and looked at some pictures of the old church, somewhere picked up a small key but don't remember seeing it or doing it but it is in my inventory, also went into that other purple door and searched, have been up to the balcony and searched, guess there is nothing else to find in the church, cannot unlock that door out by the entrance door. Guess I will leave. Where do I look to find Gustav's office/basement?

Re: Remedy - 12/04/04 01:31 AM

Are you all being literal or just funny? I am pretty far along-have ladder, rose, cleaning product, etc., but will stop if someone is going to hit me on the head. I have been fighting flu-like symptoms and a terrible headache all week and would like to avoid any more discomfort. So if a head injury is in my future, I would appreciate a "heads up".
Thanks, Carole

Re: Remedy - 12/04/04 01:51 AM

Carole, near the end of the game, you will get hit on the head. But it's not that bad.

Betty Lou, did you see the cleaning can in the chandelier?

And the basement door at Gustav is the one on the right as you arrive from the map.

Hope it's OK.

Being funny? Who us? rotfl Take a good look at my avatar and tell me I'm not funny! laugh I have found Gustav's "grip" been to the basement, bathroom, clothes line in the back yard and been to Vivetech found key, opened office took pestle, have missed a "chandelier with cleaning product in it" have to go back and look, would that have been in the church, at Gustav's in the basement or at Vivetech somewhere? Have not looked at any chandeliers yet, need to do some more searching. I like this game because it is not too difficult for me and I only check the (partial) walkthrough after I have 'done' an area and feel I have missed something, like now.......ho, ho, ho

Ah, yes, saw collection baskets, used ladder in 'grip' basement, did not realize I could pick it up and take it with me, mmmmm, now need to find something to prop open that darned door! mmmmm, thinking is so hard this morning rotfl but will give it a try and have to leave to go to my church soon, I am one of Santa's helpers for the family/kids Christmas craft day and lunch. Gonna forego one of my usual hats and wear those antlers that I grow once a year, the one with the long blond wig attached....."gonna have a good time" with the kids and their parents today, will need a nap when I get home after lunch.

There's a cupboard in Gustav's office (quite likely you've GOT the (rather rare) item already in your inventory ?!?

They are in one of the rooms that are all connected in the church up high on a rack. I want to say you need to turn around when you walk in the room and look up, but I could be mistaken.

Re: Remedy - 12/05/04 05:00 PM

Good going ... I guess you missed some stuff at Vivatech and returned & did everything there.
B U T Did you read the yellow post-it there ... it's ESSENTIAL (for later) !!

If you like scenic ambience ... wandering around "Downtown" will be a REAL pleasure for you ... actually MUCH more for you to SEE than to DO !
But there IS one thing you MUST DO.
So as not to give you an actual spoiler ... did you CAREFULLY note the P.S. to the page-5 of the printout at Vivatech ??

Haifa weather ... on the whole fairly nice (especially up here on Mount Carmel). Rather similar to coastal California I think but maybe not QUITE as nice. Beautiful Spring and Autumn (Fall in USA I think ?). Hot summers ... not BURNING since it's fairly high up and on the Mediterranean Sea (which tends to produce too much humidity to be pleasant at times). Cold but generally VERY FAR from freezing winters ... Coldish but nice now !!
P.S.
*** Lots of Biblical associations between Haifa & the prophet Elijah !!
*** Also I had an uncle who was born in London (must have been about 1890 ???) who when he was in his 20's or so emmigrated to Sacramento for some sort of health reasons, married and lived there for the rest of his life. His name was Mathews (my late mother's 'maiden name') ... but he had no children or family and died there decades ago !!

Re: Remedy - 12/06/04 03:18 PM

Betty Lou, the clue for what you're searching for downtown is found on the page printed on the printer on Vivatech.

mmmm, cleaning rag + industry? Do not remember seeing a plaque at Vivetech, guess have to go back and look or maybe downtown? Didn't see a plaque at the 'allotment' either......side question = is an 'allotment' in Sweden a garden? or a vacation property? or what?

Re: Remedy - 12/07/04 12:41 AM

~~ Arb & BLBJ ~~
I suppose that you ARE in the "East DOCKS" !! eek wink
P.S.
In England an allotment is a little patch of ground usually fairly near to one's house ... but not a garden ... usually for growing vegetables and the like (for eating). laugh
I assume the same for Sweden ???

Oups, sometime in french, we may use the word "jardin" (garden)as for flowers or a space for vegetables.

Sorry for the incorrect information.

Re: Remedy - 12/07/04 01:30 AM
