from review by Nickie --------------
Like all the other Carol Reed games, it is beautiful to look at, runs flawlessly, and while you’re admiring the scenery there is a mystery to investigate.
I now that a review is an *opinion* of the 1 who write it.And I apologise for a different opinion on this aspect to this very good review
Withuot the business of the king gustav-v
there would be no “mystery to investigate “ and no story or characters to the game but only a roam around the old town of Norrkopping-very nice but not a game
The whole murder and missed person and blackmail
is based on that imho and without it there would be no need for Karol to be there
I think that the norquists always try to introduce some historic or interesting true stuff mixed with the fiction-in a smaller scale like jane Jensen.
I cant remember but in 1 of there previous 4 games they woved in some real facts about how Sweden had some ideas and researches about racial purity and so on before even the Nazis seized on the idea much later and horribly.
Anyway just my 2 cents.I myself like to get some historic or geographic or factual knowledge in a game and I always find it adds to the story and intrest.Maybe not evrybody likes that?
This is one of the reasons I adore jane jensens games and like mikels games
