I don't know anything about chess either, and I suspect maybe you'll just need to know the moves. I know I wouldn't have the slightest clue what to do as a player. Having said that, here is the first line about the chess puzzle: Chess puzzle - to mate in two, click white pawn on blue book/manuscript on chest board. This brings the white pawn to bag. There are three more moves after this. And you are also getting pretty close to the end of the game - there appears to be one more sequence of the game after the chess puzzle.

This doesn't seem to be working for me. The white pawn IS the blue book. I have to click it two times for anything to happen and then it brings the white rook to the bag. I'm reloading again now and will try again but ... Well, ok. What happens next after the white pawn is in the bag?

Well, I am puzzled, because looking the answers over, I don't see how anyone could necessarily come up with all of the correct responses without some sort of additional reference material. I just took a look at a description of the game elsewhere online and it says the following: In addition there is a walkthrough on the first CD, which may be printed for easy reference. Plus there is a comprehensive built-in encyclopedia, which may be accessed at any time, to document and elaborate upon the historical facts relating to the game. What I am wondering is if this encyclopedia might be useful for some of the answers.

Getting frustrated again. Have answered 5 questions without to much problem but have been stuck on this 6th one for a long time. Seems like I've tried every possible answer. How many questions are there Marian?
