Linda, I sent a procedure in the mail with the saved game. Do not open the files - let the game itself open it. Download the 3 files I sent to your desktop. Open My Computer - C drive - Program files - The Adventure Company\A Vampyre Story\game\assets\scripts folder. Take the 3 files that I sent an place it inside the scripts folder. Close all folders. Play-load as usual. Also you can check here: http://www.gamesover.com./helpdesk.htm or http://www.gamesover.com/yabb/YaBB.pl

Are you clicking the knife on the cat or the collar ? Make sure it's on the collar. Try to talk to the rats again and see if they have anything else to say. Have you been to the library? Use the knife on the coloring book and if you get something you know it's the right knife to use with the cat collar.

I replayed and took a picture. I previously talked to the rats and know they want the cat's collar. Go the knife from the right plate on the dining room table. Enter kitchen and got the cat food. Use the cat food on opener. Cat tasted and left. Got Siamese can food and used it on opener. Cat liked food and starts eating. Took the knife from the coffin and used it on cat. She said she doesn't want to hurt the cat but the collar looks too tight. Mona uses the knife and got the collar.

That's what I was trying to say earlier. A picture's worth a thousand words. Cathy :wave12:

Be sure that you had Froderick clean the control panel. Then do this before you touch any levers. Move the levers to: left lever - bottom right, middle lever - top right and right lever - middle left. I that still doesn't work for you, play with the levers until you get this:
