I think Cue solved the whole thing and posted the most difficult answer. You're right Jema, I'm used to seeing you all suffer for days Pineapple is correct!
The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.

#8 was the key. First I tried lily, Ohio and Fiji but couldn't get any of the other answers to work until I tried kiwi. From there on I figured the puzzle was fruity since I started to see workable combinations of letters for the other answers. These are fun puzzles! Thanks Pandora. You're a #6
