Linda,

I sent a procedure in the mail with the saved game.

Do not open the files - let the game itself open it.

Download the 3 files I sent to your desktop.
Open My Computer - C drive - Program files - The Adventure Company\A Vampyre Story\game\assets\scripts folder.

Take the 3 files that I sent an place it inside the scripts folder.
Close all folders.
Play-load as usual.

Also you can check here: http://www.gamesover.com./helpdesk.htm or http://www.gamesover.com/yabb/YaBB.pl

Are you clicking the knife on the cat or the collar ? Make sure it's on the collar. Try to talk to the rats again and see if they have anything else to say. Have you been to the library? Use the knife on the coloring book and if you get something you know it's the right knife to use with the cat collar.

all Mona is saying is....I cant use the knife on the cat, the coloring book etc. the knife is not sharp enough. I click on the cat's collar with the knife wile the cat is eating but still Mona cant use the knife. Maybe there is another knife somewere and the butterknife is the wrong knife??

No I am sorry, its to difficult, I tried but I dont no what I am doing.
I will try to explain again, maybe there is something wrong I did. Mona is going to the kitchen. Mona feeds the cat with the wrong food. The cat dont like the food, Mona gives another can of Siamese food. The cat eats. Mona talks to the cat, about 5 questions, when the cat is talking he sits but I cant take the knife from the inventory. When the cat is finnist talking I can use the knife but Mona refuse to use this knife on the cat.The knife is so big you can only click on the whole cat. If I go to the rats the tell the same story as in the beginning. If I use the knife on the colloring book Mona says I cant use it for this.

I replayed and took a picture.

I previously talked to the rats and know they want the cat's collar.
Go the knife from the right plate on the dining room table.
Enter kitchen and got the cat food. Use the cat food on opener.
Cat tasted and left.
Got Siamese can food and used it on opener.
Cat liked food and starts eating.
Took the knife from the coffin and used it on cat. She said she doesn't want to hurt the cat but the collar looks too tight. Mona uses the knife and got the collar.

I walked back and tried to talk with the rats but they only talk about other things, not about the collar. So this is strange. There is no way I can talk with the rats about the collar so I think I try to play the part all over again and maybe the rats will talk then about the collar. About the picture...thats just as I did, but it did not work, but its maybe because the rats did not talk about the collar, I let you know what I found out.

thank you all so much for helping me. And yes, I found the problem and why it was impossible to cut the collar from the cat's neck. I started the game again from the beginning and soon I discovered that I was to quickly with all the talking with all the caracters. Special Mr. MaG put me on the right track because he told me to talk with the rats about the collar and the cat, the fist time I never did. I gived the rats the nuts and that was all.'Now I see you have to talk with all caracters and not skip one, because its very important to do so if you dont want to get stuck. No wonder I was stuck. So thanks to you all and have a nice christmas!!

Glad you got through.

Yes - the clues and triggers are sometimes dialogue driven in this game. So exhaust dialogues or come back to talk to them again.

now I cant make a sunrise. I tried: Left lever - bottom right, middle lever - top right and the right lever - middle left. But I cant get a sunrise because de middle part will not rise so no sunrise to cut a part out to use. It seems the middle part will not rise at all. What did I do wrong? I can get the left and right in the good position only the middle will not work.

Be sure that you had Froderick clean the control panel.

Then do this before you touch any levers.
Move the levers to: left lever - bottom right, middle lever - top right and right lever - middle left.

I that still doesn't work for you, play with the levers until you get this:

finist the game!. I liked it very much, but the inbetween movies had some problems with the sound, sometimes no sound, sometime the movies didnt play or stoped. Is this a problem of the game itself or a probleem of my computer, I wonder?

I think the game might not compatible to your video card.
Glad you finished the game.
