I've been having problems the past few days accessing the digital download portal www.gamersgate.com . It's similar to Steam in they sell games for immediate download. Anyway, can anyone else access the site?

Are you inside the USA or outside? In any case, the problem likely is on my end. So weird, never had this issue before. I'll try clearing out my browser cache and see if that helps. Thanks for the reply!

They have a 10th anniversary sale going. Just tried again, I'm in Chicago.

Okay, interesting. So it seems the only two people who are having issues accessing gamersgate are Marian and myself, and we both are in California. So maybe it is just a California issue? I tried clearing my browser cache in both Firefox and IE but no luck. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone in California that *can* access the website now, or someone in a different state that is having problems like us. I would send an email to their support, but since I cannot access the site I do not know the email, ha ha.

Just tried the link - I can't access it either. And we live in the same state, although I have no idea if that has any bearing on this difficulty or not. I suspect it does, since you are also in California and also have a problem accessing, while people on the East coast don't.

Thanks for everyone in trying to see if the outage affects them. If there are any more folks from California who could try, that would be great. If I hear back from more Cali folks that cannot access, I will for sure conclude it is a state wide issue.
Jenny100 - I tried accessing the site using the IP address on IE, Firefox, and Chrome, and all with zero success. I tried again using the DNS name and no luck.
I also tried pinging the IP and DNS name in a cmd window, and the pings were not getting back to me. I can steampowered.com and gog.com. I could not ping desura.com though, even though I have no problems reaching that website. Do you think it is something in my router or ISP that has changed? I don't see how it could be the router, as I have not done any BIOS flashes or made changes to it in a long time. Perhaps the ISP though.
Marian - I am using Cox Cable for my broadband internet. How about yourself?
Can some kind person forward me a contact email for gamersgate customer support?

Thanks Pokey and Uncle Reg for offering two more examples to consider.
Yes, the plot thickens. I have a feeling that this will not be an easy problem to solve. Two people from California (but with different ISPs), plus another Cox Cable customer in Virginia that cannot access it.
I might be without Gamersgate for a long stretch unless I move to central California and become Pokey's neighbor. How is the cost of living up there? :-)

Thanks everyone. I can now access it again as well.
It definitely had something to do with routed traffic or whatever. I tried accessing the gamersgate site using a different proxy server and it came up just fine then. Alls well that ends well though!
