I'm playing Penumbra Overture and am trying to get the pistons on the rock crushing machine to work but something doesn't seem to be triggered. I've gotten passed the wild dogs and gone into the Refinery and am not getting a hand icon when trying to set the pistons on the control panel for the Pressing Machine. What am I missing?

Thanks MaG. I've watch several videos to see what I'm missing but have found nothing. Once I fight off the dogs, I go into the refinery, go up the stairs to the console but no hand icon appears, so I can't set it. (I've done this 4 or 5 times)I have thought it must be something before I get into the refinery but haven't a clue what it could be.

Hi MaG. The videos that you found on youtube are not the same ones I found, so I checked them out. One guy went to Shaft 12 rather than the refinery so I thought great alternative. Got rid of my two adversaries, found shaft 12 and the door would not open, not funny. So went back and tried the refinery again, no hand icon. Either there's a glitch or I'm missing something. I tend to think I've missed something. Just a little update. I have got the find the answer somewhere.

Oh Terri, so frustrating!

Absolutely! If I get to the refinery and can't get the hand icon, I can't get out of the door and have to quit. If I find my way to Shaft 13, I can't get into the room. So, either way, if I have to go back I'm faced with two vicious adversaries to fight again.
It appears I figured it out.
