I bought the game from the mac game store and it seems to be following the WT, when I've gotten stuck. I've now reached Amerzone after running out of gas a few times along the way.

I'll have to check out the App Store for this game! I never got to play it. Hopefully it will play on my iMac computer.

PS and if it doesn't work, ya can write to them for a refund, I've done that twice.

I played Amerzone from the App Store on my iMac a couple of years ago and it works fine. However, I found it to be a little "watered down" from the original version. Some of the puzzles were not there, or already pre-solved, and some locations were not available. But it's still a great game and I enjoyed it a lot. In fact this discussion has inspired me to play it again.

It's definitely "watered down" as compared to the original, both on Mac OSX and on iPad.
I found it very frustrating that I couldn't explore the way I did on the original PC version, and didn't bother finishing it. Instead I replayed the PC version on an old computer, where I was able to explore and look at everything. The PC version might work in VirtualPC, but I haven't tried it.

I played it yrs ago on my pc and don't remember much of it, so if it is watered down, I wouldn't notice.

I played the original version and I noticed the only thing missing was, some scrappling was gone, no man at the bar at the first stop, with the man fishing off the pier. And the coconut was already on the ground.
