Good evening,

I am cursing out this game right now. I can't even beat it with the in-game hint system coupled with a video walkthrough. Spoiler: I am 76% through the game, controlling Nico at the London docks. She has to first go up the ladder of the boat and hide herself, go down the ladder as soon as the guard passes it, lock the guard in the closet securing it with a mop, then go look in a porthole. I've tried this and gotten shot dead. What's the point of playing a game you can't win?

Jim

Maybe the walkthrough by Malcolm for the original game might help.

Malcolm wrote:
In order to get onto the boat you must first hide behind the nearer crate. To do this, and to get on the boat, you need to wait until the guard has gone around the side. When on the boat, immediately climb up the ladder onto the roof. Wait for the guard to again go round the side, then open the cupboard door and get back onto the roof. As soon as the guard enters the cupboard, close the cupboard door and then jam it by inserting the mop in the handle. Look through the left hand porthole and eavesdrop on Oubier and Karzac.

Nah, I feel like quitting games and reading books.

Hi again,Mag,
I purchased this new version from GOG, and I'm playing it now. I'm not up to the part that Jim was concerned about, but your hint on this puzzle certainly will make life easier for me when I get to that point. Thank you so much.
Sandy

P.S. I hope Jim will change his mind and go back to the game because of your help.

thanks Mag, and just finished this game, enjoying every minute of it. Of course, Malcom's walkthrough helped me a lot, also LOL. BTW, I still have the original boxed version on its dusty shelf.
