I have gotten my spirit guide, seen Sirus by the old Harvester and am now stuck. Finally went to a WT and have found out I am supposed to be able to get to some stairs below the Harvester after lowering it to move some of the water. I can not find them. I have tried this many many times. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong. It would be much appreciated. help

Arora,

I will try until the experts can give us their expertise.

This puzzle is made up of several stages.

First you have to stop the flow of the water at the ?river? across the harvester. This is complicated and involve the blocking, diverting or stopping flow in 3 or so other places around Serenia.

Once that is done then you can do the round thing-harvester-bathyscape puzzle.
This involves removing more water in the pond where this round thingie is located. This will then expose the stairs you need to do.

From the Coehlo's wt:
There are two levers here for controlling the bathyscaph: one lowers and raises it (the left lever) and the other one opens and closes its door (the right lever).
Begin by pulling it up using the left lever. Close the door on the bathyscaph by using the right lever and then lower it.
Still with the door closed, lift it up. This will cause some over flow and grant you access to the
tunnel.
Approach the well and climb down. Once inside, climb down once more.

Hope that will get you going a bit. luck

Arora,
MaG has put you on the right track. There are three water wheels you have to operate to change the course of the water. One of them has the lock on it. If you've been to Haven, you'll know what it is. Lowering the harvester will allow you to drain just enough water to access the stairs. You'll get a "go ahead" hand to the right of the harvester.

I have a couple of questions for you. Have you made an offering to your spirit guide, and have you been to the dreaming chamber? You will gain knowledge there that you will need to help you with an upcoming puzzle.

Thanks for your help on this ladies. And yes, I have offered to the spirit and have also gone to the dreaming chamber so I think I know what I will need at the next puzzle.

I will go play with the water wheels to try to stop the flow of water by the Harvester. Right now it has water flowing to it so that must be the problem I assume.

Thanks again.

So far no luck. I have played with all the water wheels with the exception of the broken one. I can not seem to get the water to stop flowing by the harvester. If there is someone out there that can go to one of their saved games to let me know how to set each water wheel to allow me to reach the stairs by the harvester that would be fantastic. It does seem like the broken one is the one that directs water to the Harvester. Did I miss something that allows me to fix it so I can redirect the flow?

Other readers: SPOILER!

You can't fix the broken one; find the one closest to where you started in Serenia. Pull that wheel to the right, in order to shut down the flow of water on the left side.

There is a water wheel with an axle you must connect before it will work. That is the one that is farthest away from the Harvester. Up the ladder, engage the axle and pull the handle to the right. Then, back on the ground level, turn the wheel to again stop the water flowing on the left.

If those two are correctly set, you can check the broken one. There should be no water there; which is why you don't have to fix it. It's out of circulation.

The final wheel that needs to be adjusted is the one guarded by the little dragon. Once you have made the dragon fly away, turn the wheel to stop the water flowing to the left. (It floods the underground chamber instead.) Now you should be able to deal with the water at the Harvester.

Hope this helps!

I have established that this is a bug in the game. I used patch 1.3 but that didn't fix this thing. If you move wheel near broken wooden gears then you can't stop flow of water no matter what! This is obviously a bug because you can't control flow of river upstream. However, if you return that wheel back to original position and then follow the procedure to shut left streams at first two water wheels then flow at third one definitely stops for good.

Walkthrough instruction on how to climb down stairs near harvester are poorly written and ambigous. If you have stopped flow of water then waterfall near harvester controls stops completely. This is a good indicator that wheels are set correctly. Close the door to the harvester and then lower it down. Open doors while harvester is submerged in the water and then you will see door opening on the right! Yes you will see it! Cross the wooden bridge and then point towards door opening and there you go.
