After at least 3 days and many, many tries, I was finally able to insert the canister into the bucket and return to press the button to stop the explosion. I now see why many people have viewed this, but no one has been able to help me navigate. I am just saying it takes a lot of time and practice. Going to the bucket, as I said, you have to stay to the right and make 4 major right turns and a couple of complete u-turns to get there. Obviously, going back you have to make the u-turns and stay to the left. For what it is worth, the mistake I kept making was coming to pipes that I THOUGHT were blocking me but, in fact, I could go straight, make a right and then zig zag back to the button. I kept turning before these pipes instead of going straight and making a right immediately passed them. I hope for anyone of you playing this that you can get past this - what was for me - an almost impossible puzzle.
I just want to reassure anyone playing Maize that the puzzle is, indeed, makeable.
