Help, please. This is regarding the crow's nest. The only thing I see is right before the gift shop. I don't see any "sketch pieces" or "86" etched on the post. I'm pretty sure I'm not in the right place or I would see these things. Don't know where else to look.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks Ana.

Laurette,

-- Are you at the ship?

If so - Did you do these?

Look around. Try to enter the closet door right of Elisabet. She stops you.
Crow's nest: Climb the steps left of Elisabet. Climb up, up - way up to the top and into the crow's nest.
Take the sketch pieces under the "86" etched on the post.

MaG: I tried to enter the closet door.
As far as climbing the steps left of Elisabet. On the ship, I see two sets of stairs to her left. Think I tried both, but they don't go up, up. What may be confusing me is on the ship there is a woman in a whitish sweater. Is that Elispet or Dabny? The one near the closet is wearing black, if I remember correctly, and is not on the ship.

Thanks for any help.

I finally found the crow's nest. Big sign right in front of me! - oh well.

Guess what? I'm stuck again. This time it's in the ice cave. I pass the glove, keep going to the end and there's nothing but a dead end. Nancy doesn't say anything. Whenever I keep go into the cave, I get turned around and end up at the cave opening. Thanks for any help.

Did you click on the wall?

From walkthrough:
Midway inside, see an Icebreaker glove on the left side.
Go to the end of the path and click on the wall. Nancy says she can break through the wall with a sharp tool.

MaG: Yes, I clicked everywhere and Nancy's doesn't stay anything. I even picked up the hook and tried using it on the wall - nothing.

Did you see and clicked on the 3 large pictures of the ice cave in the cabin?
What else is your to do list?
Are you sure you're at the end of the path Check right-left)?
Can you look close at wall?

I'm not sure about the pictures in the cabin.
At the end of the path there is only a wall, you can't go right or left, only back.
Can't look close at wall.

Explore the ice cave is on my to do list, along with quite a few other things.

By cabin, do you mean the Captain's cabin?

That may be what I didn't do.

Thanks, MaG.

If you can't do anything on that wall yet - means you have not done something.
Maybe check your todo list and see. luck

I've gotten to the part about fixing the dingy. Put all red sparkplugs on left and black on right Then I used connectors sexten, niu, nitjan and brettan. Nothing happens. I'm beginning to doubt my intelligence. Looked at w/t and read book about Iceland.

Please help, or maybe I should just give up, which I'd hate to do.

Thanks.

You have the book Iceland at a Glance, correct?

Here's a video walkthrough of it. Maybe that will help. Start the video at about 6:56.

Oh gosh, I remember the days..awhile ago when many of us would be playing a game at the same time and these great Mod.s like MaG, Sue, Brown eyed tiger and so many others.... would give such great hints to help us get to the next place of discovery. We'd be waiting for "Dave" to send our new game that we could download from a series CD-ROM discs. I might have to start up the Nancy Drew... grin

Well, I was making progress until I got to the helm by the wheelhouse. How the heck do you move the icons? over to where they belong? I can only move them up and down and turn the wheel. I love adventure games, but sometimes they can be SO frustrating.

Thanks again.

A visual would probably help. Try looking at this video walkthrough. It starts at approximately 2:16. wave

I took a break from this game and came back. Am in the ice cave, trying to follow the directions. The only ice wall I come to caves in and I have to try again. I've got a feeling I've missed something. Left to do: open left side of captain's box and rebuild mechanical contraption.

Help, please! Thanks.

To rebuild the mechanical contraption, you need 5 gears. Do you have any of them yet?
