II just noticed on GOG.com that the makers of the Gothic series have an open-world, role-playing sci-fi game called ELEX coming out in October.
Judging from the screen shots, it'll be awesome. Since I'm a huge fan of the Gothics, I'm hoping this lives up to that pedigree.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

MaG,
Coincidentally, my signature was actually created in reference to Gothic's nameless hero.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I almost pre-ordered, but I'll wait until it's out and/or the reviews start coming in. I'm going with cautiously hopeful.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Thanks Hagatha! Sticking this post. Here's the game's homepage link for those that are interested ELEXLooks like THQ Nordic is working to compete with CD ProjektRed. Between the style and music of the trailer, and that it's a sci-fi fantasy crossover, which Red's Cyberpunk 2077 has been rumored to be, it appears we have a rivalry brewing. That could be good for us Gamers if the production companies work to outdo each other.
“A world is supported by four things: The learning of the wise, the justice of the great, the prayers of the righteous and the valor of the brave. But all of these things are as nothing, without a ruler who knows the art of ruling. Make that the science of your tradition!” ---------------- Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam, from the novel Dune
