Mine would have to be The Omega Stone. I just disliked it so much that it was like a chore for me to play it but, I was determined to finish it. I think it took me a month and a half. Rusty

We just finished Case of the Rose Tattoo, and it took us weeks. Not that we didn't like the game, but there is SO MUCH dialogue, reading and detail in it that we had to take it in little 2-4 hour chunks. Any longer and we started getting bored. By comparison, I think we spent about a week on TLJ, the next longest amount of time we've spent on a game.

Outcast and NOLF. I know they are not adventure games. Well Outcast to me is an adventure/action hybrid.
For adventure games - Black Dahlia and Pandora Directive the first time.

Shorah, Well we havent finished Omega Stone yet, so that may be the winner. Mostly because we like it enough to *really* solve it (thanks for help in the hint forum, folks) & not just use a wt. Schizm took awhile once we got back to it, even with a hint or 3. Susan | | |

Like catsmom, mine too was Sanitarium. I got VERY stuck at a maze-like stone structure that you walk through (up and down stairs and dodging electrical currents that come up through the stones under your feet). I eventually got SO frustrated with this lone puzzle that I set the game aside for MONTHS before returning to complete it. However, it remains one of my top ten favorite games to this day. When I returned to finish it, I found the same puzzle quit simple and finished the game that same day. It's a fantastic game!
PLAYING ON PC: World of Warcraft...nothing else...there is no need for ANY other game when you have THIS one to play!! LOL

For me it was TLJ. I played that for close to a month, and when it was over I was sad to see it end. It felt like a friend was leaving. I can't wait for the sequel.

I hear you on Black Dahlia. I was looking at my son, Michael and I's notes just the other day.
Just for the rune puzzle, we had a full chart of runes. Then did a geometric schematic organized by solid positions, hinted at positions that we felt fairly secure about and then alternates with the few remaining ones. There were 4 runes that we decided were the iffy ones. We and two other playing teams worked on the possibilities through email and finally achieved consensus.

Not to mention the log cabin box, the Raven club door and a host of others. And then when you thought you were near the end in Germany - a whole other section of the game started up. What a great game!

WWhat a loaded question. I have a couple dozen or more games in progress that have been going on for almost five YEARS!! Every now and then I see a new tip on our 'Hints' forum, and give them another shot. Right now our dear Tally Ho has me (I hope ) on track with Atlantis, the Lost Tales. NEVER SAY DIE!!!!!!

Hi lspace ! Please don't mind me asking, but I have this game an would like to play it, but I've read it is a competition game and is, therefore, very, very tough to finish. Do you know now whether there is anywhere that I will find a walkthrough for the game, because I don't fancy starting it if it's going to be nigh-on impossible to finish ? Cheers, Gelert. | | |

I am in the middle of Blue Ice and Kofun, have been playing these two on and off for a year or more. I leave them for the interesting new games than I get back to one of them and play a litte.
