Hi! I haven't posted in a while and have played Fallout 4 completely through three times. However, this time I have made some different choices and am on the Railroad side. In "Rockets Red Glare" episode, I am stuck in the vertibird ! After takeoff from the Cambridge Police Station we have landed on the blimp and I cannot seem to leave! What the heck? Does anyone have any advice or experience with this? Thank you Boomers!

Hi Atheen, nice to see you here. smile

We have Fallout 4 players who may be able to help you out with this.

I would also try googling "Rockets Red Glare stuck in vertibird," or words to that effect. Doing that showed me discussion online here and there about various situations that people were asking for help with, some of which sounded like glitches, with possible workarounds.

I don't seem to be able to work the SEARCH tool here anymore. I guess that's what I get for not keeping up! I tried actual cheating to 'unstick' my avatar from the vertibird. I tried the clipping and God Mode with negative results. I'd really like to finish this game without starting over. I've done the best building and crafts and really don't want to throw it all away. TIA!

I wouldn't want to start over either! These games are a big time investment. Let's wait and see if someone has some suggestions for you.

Or maybe try posting in the Fallout 4 forums at Steam?

In the Steam conversation about this, someone suggested pressing "e."

EDIT: The other option is to find the console command needed to bump the quest forward a bit.

What's the exact wording of the part of the quest you're working on right now, when the bug occurs?

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

If I recall correctly, exiting the Vertibird is somewhat like exiting a suit of power armor. You have to hold the "E" key down for a bit for it to work.

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here
