I'm using the gog version and I can't get the mouse to work during the implant puzzle. The syringe doesn't move properly. I played with the tex.ini lock video setting...using 1 & 2 but that didn't do anything.

Can anyone help with this? Maybe a save and also, I'm guessing the 911 doesn't work with this puzzle...

For jittery mouse movement or the mouse not working well, GOG has the following suggestion for Overseer:

Quote
Disable Mouse Acceleration
Try disabling the Enhance pointer precision option. To do this, please follow these steps:

Windows 10:
Press WinKey+R, and in the Run window type:
control
After that press Ok, and navigate to Mouse -> Pointer Options, then make sure that Enhance pointer precision is unchecked, and click OK.

I don't know if this will work for your problem or maybe you have already tried this, but it's worth a shot and you can always change it back to the way it was before.

Is the pointer a custom pointer? Is there a way to disable that?

Even back in the days when I played Overseer on the boxed version CDs, I always had trouble with that puzzle and never got it out, choosing to skip it. I have a saved game I use to skip it as the old 911 trick doesn't work on the GOG version.

Thanks Winx. No custom pointer Draclvr and I've played this before but it's the first time for me with this issue. I owned this but tried gog sale/etc. UGH.

I should have mentioned before that this site here has saved games for Overseer. They might be worth a try if you are still stuck, revco.
