We've had a very lazy week. Went to see the oncologist yesterday and apparently my husband's cancer is still quiet, so for the time being there's no need for any chemo, which is a good thing because it makes the pain worse. We're just hoping it stays dormant for a few more months. We have a very nice new hospital and we've known the lovely Cancer Care staff for six years, but it's wonderful not to have to go in there every two weeks. Otherwise, it's still cold and windy here, although the first of the yachts has appeared in the harbour and we've seen a couple heading north up the channel, so Spring will be here soon. I'm working away on my bike. I tried an on-demand (pre-recorded) spin class a couple of days ago. It was 20 minutes of pedaling faster than I ever thought possible and that was with me not getting even close to the cadence and resistance the instructor wanted us to reach. I finished the class, though, and pushed myself pretty hard, so I was pleased with that. I hope everyone is enjoying their week.

Ah, a quiet cancer is a good thing... hopefully it will stay that way for a few months more, hagatha. Having dealt with this also, the people who staff those Centers are the best!
Sounds like you pedaled your heart out!
I took hubby to the Pain Management Clinic for a nerve block on his back. I think this is his second one. It takes two trips over there as they do first one side and then the other side about 2 weeks apart. He is looking forward to having less pain soon because he has a large garden to put in! He's already itching to get out there.
Once again, weeds are my life!

hagatha, so happy to hear about your hubby's latest update. Prayers and positive thoughts to stay that way! Drac, hope your hubby will be ready to go after his last shot! Hey ho, everyone! It's been a real stretch over here, but all seems to be heading in the right direction. Hubby is home now and still very weak when it comes to walking around, but doing well. He sees the doc again tomorrow to get a new blood count and hopefully it's getting up. I have an xray next Tuesday. Covid regulations has limited the hours and #of people allowed in the building so they have a backlog. I could go to my doc and have instant images done, but the standalone facility is a much cheaper cash option. I no longer cry getting out of bed, so it's getting better. Still working as usual. Walking makes it better, sitting or laying down is much worse. All my ferals are now accounted for after our over 2 week arctic blast. I am so happy to see they all look great! Wishing you all a great day!

I missed what is going on with you, what's happening? Winfrey, Ana had an accident involving a horse. Here is what she said earlier in this thread: I deliberately tossed myself from him because he went wild and I wasn't even ready to ride yet. I did not have the reins to stop him, nor was one foot fully secured in the stirrup. He took off like a race horse and ran wild before I even gave an indication we were ready to ride. The others at the stable said it was spring fever after our deep freeze and the lack of heading out to the trails. Rather than chance him bucking me off and me flying, I let myself fall to the ground landing on my lower back. I can't use my arms to shield a fall or I risk tearing my rotator cuffs again so the whole impact was my back and then I rolled a couple times. He was going quite fast. I'm in extreme pain.

Ana, I'm so glad you're feeling a bit better. It's really rough when both partners are having medical issues at the same time -- there's nobody to take care of you.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Yet another rainy, windy day. We're starting to long for summer. Coffee in front of the fire on a cold day is lovely, but having dinner around our beach fire down by the water's edge is even nicer.
Have a good day, everyone!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
