Cold, rainy, dark day here. Very lazy and didn't get much accomplished! Sometimes you just need a day like that.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Insane winds, rain, sleet and then sunshine late but still crazy windy. Fun day to work outside. hagatha, how fortunate to have the bald eagles so close. We are getting more and more by us, I see them about once a week. They are so majestic. Friday tomorrow. Woohoo! EDIT: oldbroad, almost every person I know had that happen. My husband included. The post office, police dept and IDES all have assistance for it. Crazy world we live in!

Good morning to you all. Covid vaccine around noon today for my wife and I. The rest of the day will be as usual: reading, TV and a walk. Take care.

Chief, how wonderful to be getting your shots!
We're still waiting for news about when we can have ours. I'm not eligible yet anyway, but it would be nice to know.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Why so long in between the shots? Pfizer is 3 weeks and Moderna is 4 weeks.

I’ve had both of mine. We still aren’t going into restaurants but I feel al whole lot safer!

Ah, I see. I think they are doing that in the UK too. I believe AstraZeneca says 12 weeks between shots. We got the Pfizer here. Some people are getting Moderna. Excited for the single shot Johnson and Johnson too!

hagatha, I see you live in B.C. Canada too, is it just me or is it getting really confusing about who, when and where we can get our shots?
I seem to be months away from getting mine and I'm no healthy spring chicken!!!

I see the US is going to start shipping excess vaccines to Canada and Mexico once the US population is vaccinated. I hope all who choose to get one are able to do so sooner than later. It is such a good feeling!

I'm on the Island, and as far as I know only the local Band members have had their shots. I thought my husband would have been eligible because he's a cancer patient, but we've heard nothing so far. I, too, am no spring chicken (though I hasten to add that I am not yet eligible for OAS ) and it looks as though I have to wait until the end of June or thereabouts. Anyway, yes, it's confusing.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

It is such a good feeling! I just saw your post. Ironically, a large proportion of the doctors and specialists in our area are from South Africa. They all go back and forth to visit their families, and I'm guessing they will resume travel as soon as they can. The AZ vaccine, which is the one earmarked to come here from the US, is not effective against the South African variant of COVID, so I don't think it would be a good idea to be inoculated with that particular one since our doctors could make us sick down the road. However, it'll be nice to see that vaccine distributed among the most vulnerable people in Canada, just not here specifically.

Beautiful day today! My grandson is here for the weekend, so we took Nugget and drove to Mount Baldy in the Indiana Dunes for beach day. Nugget swam a lot but I had to force her to stay out for periods of time because Lake Michigan is only 34 degrees right now. We had a blast!
Looks like everyone else enjoyed some outside time too! Yay!
