A wonderfull Sunday to everyone. We will get a nice sunny temp of 50 today. Spring is here and a lot of kids are with their bike around the parc where we live. A good day for a walk of course. Take care.

We actually got part of one of the big gardens tilled up with the big tiller on the back of the tractor. I didn't think it would work because we've gotten so much rain the last couple of weeks! So tomorrow is planting potatoes and onions. Moved some of my trays of baby pepper plants down to the basement under the grow lights. And I have tomato plants poking their little heads up!
Yay, I think spring might finally be here!
Gardens put to bed for the winter. Time for some gaming!

Today might as well have been mid-December, freezing cold, windy and pouring rain. No gardening for us. Had a fun day playing Cyberpunk 2077 and chasing my (slightly overweight) cat around the house for biting me on the ankles, the little rat. It's her favourite game. She cannot resist a bare ankle, and even socks are at risk. Apparently it's all the more fun if the chasing is accompanied by roaring and threats.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Vet appointments for us. One tricky one... a barn cat has a severe UTI. But she's a hair psycho and is not catchable! Going to talk to the vet this morning and see what my options are. The 100 pound Bloodhound is this afternoon and hubby will take her. She's so big she can't fit in my small truck, so he has to take her in his big truck!

Drac, I think that's what cloudy, rainy days are supposed to do Speaking of which, had one here yesterday, and I had to take dog to his delayed neurology visit. Asked the doc a question and while she was talking and looking thru his thick file, I had a hard time paying attn to the point she asked if I was still there. Any way, he's actually gained a few pounds which is good. Told her nothing else new or bad since he last saw her. She talked about starting him on something that could possibly help delay the effects of the muscle deterioration; but it could affect his liver, and the procedure to administer it involves using gloves. Decided to forego unless it's obvious he's is pain or not enjoying life. Don't want to 'fix' something that doesn't appear broken. She noted the only thing that wasn't done was to check his pituitary gland, so I allowed them to take blood to check it out. His regular vet checkup is in June, see how things go til then. After neurologist went straight to play care for rest of the day. Happy dog. Happy me.

Lil Soot and I had a beautiful run in the park. Kept the miles and the pace down for the wee man, and then played ball afterwards. Home to get everyone fed. Rain supposed to be back later. I hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Tea and a lap-sit with my cat in front of the fire. It's still very cold in the morning here. Perhaps later we'll go out in the boat, since it promises to be a sunny day.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Drac, my dog has some kind of autoimmune condition that is slowly eating away at his muscles. The skull bone on either side of his head as well as his shoulders bones are easily visible beneath his skin. There is nothing, or very little between the bone and skin. It was first detected by an MRI that showed most visible damage to his skull. They tried to pinpoint the cause but blood tests all came back negative. So the basis for his condition is a mystery. He still has enough muscle in the back of his body to allow him to move around, but his activity is restricted. The play care center knows this and keeps his fun down to watching and enjoying time with the handlers. At least he's not home being bored.
