Well, Lake house just sold. I can't believe how smoothly it went. I've linked a few pictures of it if you care to look... if you look closely you can see a piece of my heart that I left behind. HouseView from deckviewDock

Great photos, Winfrey! As you know, I am only about five miles away from there, so it all looks very familiar. It sure sold fast!
The last home that Ken and Roberta Williams from Sierra Online (King's Quest, Phantasmagoria, Gabriel Knight series, etc.) lived in, prior to selling the company and moving to Seattle, was right on this lake.

Winfrey, I would have had a hard time letting go of that lovely place. Looks like heaven. I'm not surprised it sold so quickly.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Just a gorgeous property and home! Glad it sold quickly and smoothly, but also sad to see a piece of your heart leave too.

Winfrey, I'd have a hard time letting it go tool! Glad it went smoothly.

Lovely day here, but that darned wind won't stop. It got so cold last night I had to pull out the down comforter again.
I'm at my two weeks since my shot, so apparently I'm 90% immune now. My hairdresser finally got her shot yesterday, so I'll be able to get my hair cut soon. Yay! It's never been this long before and it is a real pain to take care of. Takes me about 15 minutes to get a comb through it.
Have a good Thursday everyone.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

That's a pretty good feeling, isn't it! I just enjoyed a 3 day visit with my sister and great-nephew because we are all fully vaccinated! Haven't seen them in 3 1/2 years!

Got rid of the boot yesterday Doc went over with me shoe restrictions and medicine to help with arthritis in that area. He also added some PT, so that will be added to what is already scheduled for my hip. So June will probably be filled with chiro and PT appts. Thank goodness I'm retired and it's summer Dealing with PT and med issues while working was a royal Last night dog did something weird. Typically, he eats 'dinner' around 5:30/6:00, so just after 8 pm he wants a snack. Around that time, if it hasn't happened, he'll come over to remind me. He didn't do that last night. Instead, even though I purposely made noise putting a few teeny cookies in his bowl, he didn't move. So, I went over and gently woke him. Told him his cookies were ready, and pointed in the direction of his bowl. Slowly he got up, ate and went back to bed and slept til 5 am. BUT, the day before, when brought home, I learned he'd had quite the day because there is a new member who is just 6 months old. Apparently, Huey had some fun chasing and playing with it. Glad he has fun over there

Unfortunately my guy hasn't had his shot yet. He has a severe needle phobia (he went 50 years without any kind of shot or blood test) and keeps putting it off. I worry about it, but I feel as though I need to start getting out of the house more before I go crazy. At some point I'll put my foot down because the last thing I need is another thing to worry about. My own health has been suffering and now that I've got my recent blood test results back I see that my Thyroid disease is not being properly controlled and I need to increase my medication. My cortisol levels are very high as well. I need a break.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

You certainly do! I would insist sooner rather than later and just get it over with.

Hi hagatha, tell your guy to: 1) Don't look at the needle, look away 2) It is very quick and you can barely feel it, when I got my shot I had to ask the medic if he actually gave me the needle, that's how smooth and painless it was 3) If he does not get the shot, I will send him some painful Virtual Cuffs behind the Ears which would be more painful than the needle.

His phobia is much, much worse than that, unfortunately. We have managed his blood tests by using numbing cream and a face mask, plus a ton of Ativan, but a jab in the arm is far more traumatic for him than a blood test. He may have decided to just not ever get the shot. He doesn't really go anywhere any more. Because walking is very painful for him sometimes, I do all the shopping, get his beer and other happy stuff from the local government store and grab his medications from the pharmacy, so he isn't really at risk anyway. His choice, I guess. But I went out today and actually shopped, put my dollars back into local stores. I'm very good at that normally , but I've been staying away for 18 months. Came home with a good haul. Shoes, kitchen stuff from the local gourmet store, a lovely summer dressing gown, some very tasty oils and vinegars, and prawns for dinner.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Well as you say hagatha if your guy hardly goes anywhere and you are vaccinated then it probably dosen't matter if takes the shot, too bad they can't come out with pill form. Glad you finally enjoyed going out there to shop and buy stuff. Take care, and I have cancelled the Virtual Cuffs , no worries for him.
