Yes, it has been a good dAy, though of course that is a relative term these days. Still, we take what we can get.

Good morning, Danish, Donuts, and Bagels in the Break Room. Draclvr, it breaks my heart how horrible animals are abused by some people. You don't want to know what I would do to those people. Hagatha, Wonderful news that hubby is starting to get around better. Lunch and Netflix with a friend today. We are watching Legacies. Meeting at the Eagles tonight. summer

hagatha, what a good day indeed! Glad to hear about hubby! I'm envious of your views and area you live in. Photography and nature is my hobby and meditation and I'd be in heaven!

Drac, how heartbreaking. So many cases of animal abuse, it's sickening. There has to be a special place in hell for these people.

Off to work. Quiet house for 3 days, all boarders are gone as of last night and I just have my girl until house gets busy again on Thursday. Nugget is resting and enjoying the peace. : lab

Ana, you probably won't know what to do with peace and quiet!

On a good note down at Longmeadow, we are all anxiously awaiting the foaling of a baby from a big Thoroughbred mare! There was a horrendous stock trailer crash last October. It was full of horses being taken to Mexico for slaughter. They saved 13 of the 27 horses and we got the survivors. One was Journey, a big bay Thoroughbred mare. After she recovered from her terrible injuries, they did a pregnancy check. I felt so sorry for the poor thing last night because she is SO huge! They have a live cam set up on her stall for the public, but horses usually foal at night away from prying eyes. We already had one foal this spring - a tiny little 14 pound miniature horse we named Maple because her mother's name is Waffle!

This is the live feed video cam. Just ignore the donate button. Baby Cam

Good Morning all. Coffee and tea are ready. Hagatha good to hear hubby is getting around and can actually get into your car. Hope he continues to make progress. Draclvr it must be so difficult to see the abuse the horses have had to endure. Thank you for caring and doing your part to help them.

We went to our immediate neighbour's yesterday afternoon for happy hour. It was nice to se John get out and about. He tires very easily, though, and his pain levels are high all the time, so It was literally an hour, but it got him out of the house and into the fresh air.

Today I'm weeding the greenhouse, which is an appalling mess, and then tidying the house for visitors from Vancouver. They'll be staying at a lodge down the street, but we'll gather here on our deck for dinner. These are old friends from way back when we first moved out here, and it'll be nice to see them.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning, everyone! I have time for some of the Sumatra dark roast this morning before I get into - wait for it - tomatoes! My friend Kim is coming out this afternoon and we are going to work up a few big buckets of damaged ones for her. We will use the Italian tomato press which will make short work of those buckets.

Did a private tour yesterday at Longmeadow for an older couple and their two little grandsons, 3 and 5. We have "Barn Buddies" which you can sponsor for like $25 a year and that allows you to come see your Barn Buddy and have a tour. Their Barn Buddy is Teddy, a very tiny little miniature horse. I joked that my cats are bigger than Teddy! The little boys were very shy at first, but were talking my head off an hour later!

Hi Everyone!

Between chiro and PT I've been exhausted. Just enough energy to pick up around my home and play some games. Insurance allowable for PT ended last week, which is fine PT exercise is limited due to hip pain. Once that subsides a bit more, I can concentrate on balance issues. Should be able to pick up a few more insurance allowed PT sesssions in a month or two. Good news is that hip pain IS calming down. No where near as painful as it was a month ago. Starting to stand up from sitting easier, spine straightens without pain and almost walking normal. Last week, had PT appt and almost walked out to my car without my walker. Went back to get it cause my back would start talking again without it. But I was happy and surprised that my body was acting like it didn't need it. bravo

Pooch is fine. Vet gave him meds for arthritis. Not sure if they're helping or not. May be too soon to tell. Instead of a pill, it's more of a liquid so I use a dropper. Stuff is whitish; looks a little like 'spit.' I squirt it over his food. No problem. Doesn't seem to bother his digestion which has always been an issue. Had a 'reality' chat with vet. I've just a few heartworm pills left. Normally, I'd get another year's worth but I'm not convinced he'll last that long. Vet assured his blood and heart are fine; rest is a mystery. Otherwise, he's still his happy, energetic self. puppy

Hagatha, so great that your husband is doing better!!!

I'll try not to wait so long to stay in contact. wave

We had to put my beloved little dog Frankie down today. What a heartbreaking ordeal! Even hubby was crying. He had a good life with us. He was blind - but, I carried him out every day. He had hip troubles, but, I took him off the bed. He was so loved. arghhh. my heart hurts. But, he went swiftly and gently into the great beyond - hopefully finding my mother - who he loved so much. I can't understand people who would abuse animals. they are so loving and just want to please. RIP my dear Frankie!
