I have noticed that this crashes quite often, but, so far I have managed to get past that by restarting several times but this time no matter what I do, I can't get to the next chapter. I have the tabasco sauce and I have doctored the coffee and i saved there.

this is where I am at. If someone could send me a saved from right here, it would be much appreciated. I got this game from GOG

Use Tabasco sauce with coffee machine.

Use the speaking apparatus and ask for coffee. The secretary brings the doctored coffee.

Watch what happens. Lilly is now the CEO of the Dwarf Inc. Co.

Have you reported this to GOG? Plus, it would help if we knew what chapter you were at.

This game autosaves every 5 minutes or so. I am currently playing the game but from Steam. Not sure if I can locate a save or not but will look.

Did you use the speaking apparatus twice? Once to get rid of her so you could put the tabasco in the coffee and the again so she would take the coffee with the tabasco?

It is at the end of Act 2 Drac.

yes, I use the speaking apparatus. I had to use it for Ceville to put the tabasco sauce in the coffee. I saved the game there. the girl has to use the speaker again for the secretary to bring the coffee up but it just stalls at this place. I have looked on GOG for hints or if they have any saved games, but, couldn't find any.

I have the game but have not played it yet, and I don't have any saved games.

Have you tried watching a video walkthrough for this part of the game? You could watch one of them here.

I just sent 3 saves to the email address in your profile. Again, this is the Steam version so I don't know if they will work with the GOG version (and that's providing I did this right also). You may miss some stuff though.

You're the best, oldbroad! I have the game from GOG, but got bored with all the traipsing around, so don't have any good saves.

The game is good until you get stuck. That's when the traipsing around gets to me (as it does in every game). I've been playing the game for about 6 weeks already and only just passed this part that mbday630 is asking about. I am, however, playing several other games also though.

thanks Oldbroad. I got the saves. I hope that they work. It happens when there is a split scene - like when they had to get the showstar girl off the stage - I had to do that multiple times as the game stalled. and really, it makes my whole computer stall- I have to do the control, alt, delete to get out of it. I will let you know if this helps. thanks so much. It is a very fun game! I have the disc too, but, when they had it on GOG for 59 cents, that was too good a deal to pass up.

The third save, I believe, is actually into Act 3. The first two are not. I also have the disc but never used it.

Also, the screen transitions do take a lot of time because it is constantly loading stuff. Make sure you are allowing it enough time and that it is not really hung up.

I know about the long load times - I have to look at the elevator button and if it doesn't stall, I can see the numbers going up. but, it just stalls at level 3 and then nothing works. did you have many game crashes? I had a bunch in the first chapter. thank goodness that it automatically saves - but, I also learned to save often if it crashed at a certain point.

Well you may want to use that first attachment as I think that is after the coffee/tabasco stuff but before the new vote which will take you along to Act 3. The third attachment is already in Act 3.

I haven't had any crashes at all with the Steam version but I am playing in Windows 7 which might make a difference too.

Ugh. Just saw your next post. That is a question I cannot answer. Maybe Draclvr can but maybe post in the Glitches section.

Yippppeeeee. first thing this morning - before getting on anything else, I tried Ceville again - and i finally got past that part. I held my breath when I saw her pouring the coffee in the top left screen - that is when it usually stalled - and i finally saw the dwarfs getting up and drinking the beer. I didn't touch a thing though the rest of the chapter. so, whatever happened, I finally got to go on. for some reason those split scenes usually make this game stall for me.

Yippee, indeed! Great news, so fingers crossed it won't happen again the rest of the game!

That is good to hear! Hopefully, you can enjoy the rest of the game without a problem.

Just curious, do you usually leave your computer on or do you shut it down daily? I'm just wondering if maybe a reboot had helped or something.

I shut my computer down every night. but, usually in the morning I will go to news sites and look around at things. This morning I went right to Ceville before I messed around looking at anything - and really, - I think it helped that I held my breath! when i first saw that I was getting that split screen - where it usually stalled (and sometimes even before that) I just watched breathlessly in the hopes that they would drink the coffee. so, holding your breath helps, I guess. anyway, I finally finished the game. whew. thanks everyone!

I'm remembering that "hold your breath" trick!
