I have an outdoor cat who is also not the brightest bulb in the box! Wally was dumped off here at about 4 months old. Took us two months to be able to make friends and get him neutered. Since then I've come to realize that although he is a good barn cat, he's just not too smart!

hagatha, I'm just curious about the outdoor spaces. What is there that keeps them from wandering off somewhere?

This girl cat that I have is the absolute most smartest cat I've ever had. catrub

Both balconies are on the second floor. One of them has a maple tree growing right next to it, but although the tree is mid-height, the higher branches are too small for a cat to stand on (Willow tried once. It was a disaster involving shrieking and scratches). Just to be sure, we put a plexiglass barrier on top of the glass railings that were already there to prevent any misadventures.

Willow is pretty smart, but my last cat, Rachel, was the smartest cat I ever had. She was genius-level smart, for a cat. I swear she understood everything I said to her. She could get into anything. No drawer or cubboard was too difficult for her to open, even ones with tiny little round knobs. It was almost like she had opposable thumbs.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hagatha, maybe you've already done this, but I googled 'ready made meal delivery bc canada' and a several reviews and recommendations appeared. For a few years, I enjoyed Magic Kitchen. It's based here in the USA but does have an International phone number. I hope you find something.

It's a very cold, rainy day here. Seemed like a good day to put some chicken and rice in the crock pot and do a little gaming!

Thanks for the sugggestion, but there's really nothing here, apart from pizza delivery, and that's only two places. Even the pharmacy and grovery stores won't deliver to our location.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I love all the wild tea flavours I'm being introduced to here, althgough my quick search shows that even Amazon doesn't have Moose Munch And I'm a big fan of protein balls. We get them at or local coffee shop. I bet I could make protein balls with cashew butter and vanilla or chocolate protein powder and maybe a few dates.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

That Umbrella Tea Infuser on the Harry and David page in soot's link is really cute. I don't like their infinity scroll page though!

The holiday madness has gripped our town and the Save-On parking lot was so crowded I went shopping for the other goodies for John on my list -- the local craft beer and the other kind of comestible that is legal here -- and went back later for some baked goodies and staples to tide us over for the next few days. We aren't doing Christmas at all this year. It's just too much for us. We'll have a nice quiet evening with a movie and maybe a roast chicken, or perhaps we'll join our neighbours for a vegan Christmas dinner.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
