Snow, snow, snow... But it's the pretty kind and the woods all around me look beautiful. Supposed to get up to 5" by the time it quits. They may or may not come plow the roads for a few days. Grabbed a couple of chuck roasts Thursday because it feels like a good day for a nice pot roast with potatoes and carrots.

We're waiting for our new dishwasher, which we should have received back in October. Fortunately the old one still works so we haven't had to hand wash the dishes.

So now the West and North East Coast of Vancouver Island are under a tsunami warning because of a volcanic eruption in Tonga. Fortunately we're far enough down Island that we'll be okay, but I suspect we'll see a big, big tidal surge today.

The tsunami fizzled, fortunately. We were worried about people we know in Port Alberni, which has had its share of tsunami action over the years, and little Tahsis, which floods regularly anyway.
