A friend is having troubles after installing Curse of Blackwood Manor. She installed it on her laptop with Windows 10. She can hear the music, but the game does not appear. From what she said, it looks like she is getting a pop-up showing the books menu, but it will not let her click on it to open it. I suggested that she try 640x800 and use compatibility mode, but she said she had tried these.
i then suggested she try higher resolutions as that had worked for me before. But no joy, evidently. It sounds lie a display issue to me. Any thoughts?

welcome to GameBoomers katheo.

All of the Nancy Drew games run on Windows 10. Not sure what the problem is, but I would suggest that your friend start with these instructions here - which talk about how to install ND games on Windows 10.

If for some reason your friend continues to have issues after that, I would recommend downloading the game from GOG here for $5.99. The page says the game works with Windows 7/8/10/11.

On a laptop, I always suspect inadequate hardware, but I looked it up and it appears this one will run on very low end computers. I would follow Marian's instructions.
