Ob, I think I played Murderous Jealousy but will have to check.

Leeana, glad you are having fun with Mystical Riddles and Shadow Ranch.

Shadow Ranch is not a casual game but Big Fish does sell it, and that is in my top three ND games. I've probably played that one maybe three or four times. smile

I'm replaying all the Awakening games in order, half way through the second. I forgot that there were a lot of good puzzles in these games.

I am very glad to hear that, Mad! I haven't played this one yet but look forward to it. smile

I finished the CE of Labyrinths of the World: Fool's Gold yesterday and enjoyed it very much.

Good to know about those games Mad and Marian. I'm working my way through the Mystery Tales series but am only at game 4 and The Hangman Returns is game 6, so it will be awhile still. I'm also making my way through the Labyrinths of the World series but have about 7 games to go before I hit Fool's Gold, so an even longer while for that one.

Sadly, I finished Cave Quest yesterday. It was a good game but way too short!

I started Golden Trails: The New Western Rush last night, thank you Marian!

Oldbroad, I wanted more of Cave Quest when I was done, too. The good news is you don't have to wait years for a sequel the way that I did, and the second game is also longer.

I am glad you are enjoying the Golden Trails game!

After my successful re-play of the Edgar Allen Poe game - that got me past the dead end - I've decided to give The Black Veil another go now

I was really enjoying it when I played it (absolutely ages ago) until I came up against a similar dead end.
[I seem to remember I had opened a door before I had picked up a book (or something in that vein) and that was the end of that eek]

I'm nowhere near that point yet though as I've only just started playing and I know I was well into the game before the sudden halt.

What is The Black Veil? Mystery Case Files? I played that without issue and have no notes of any glitches anybody else ran into.

Thanks, Marian !!

Yes, oldbroad, I posted about the problem here at Gameboomers at the time and no one else (here, anyway) had experienced it.
However, I DID experience it rolleyes

And it was a similar type of issue as happened with the Gold Bug game.
I didn't do an action when I should have but wasn't allowed to go back and do it. The game just stopped entirely frown
[And I found out what the action was afterwards from looking at the walkthrough.]

I do sort of remember you posting something about it. I'm surprised I didn't notate it on my sheet. Anyway, good that you remember so you can get through the game this time. yes

It probably doesn't really count, but I have just added Wordle to my morning routine smile https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html?success=true

Thanks for posting that link Lex. I've heard of Wordle but did not know how it works. I just solved my first one in 4 tries.

Clearly selection of the first word is pretty important and I see that adieu is popular although I have used audio smile

I got fed up with my re-play of The Black Veil. I'd forgotten just how many puzzles there are and how much thinking some of them require.
And I'm really not in the mood rolleyes

So I'm playing my latest purchase "Bridge to Another World : Cursed Clouds" instead and the number of puzzles and their difficulty level are much more to my liking right now.
It is a very nice play hamster

Glad you are liking it, Mad!

I know what you mean about not being in the mood for puzzles, and particularly more difficult ones. I return to such games when I am feeling more up to the challenge.

Me too, Marian.
And when there are LOTS of them as well, I get tired of them more quickly these days.
I much prefer plenty of "story" instead !! lol

Yes, Mad. I'm sure you've read some of my *crabby* posts which happen when I'm not in the mood for certain things in the game I'm playing. I have trouble moving away from the games though.

Oh, I don't have any such problems, oldbroad grin

I think we also differ about "content" as you've said previously that the story is not a very important aspect for you whereas for me it's one of the key elements of a game.

This is how things should be though otherwise we'd all just be sheep !! lol
