The following clues form a word chain. The last three letters of one word or phrase form the first three letters of the next word, and the list wraps round from the last word to the first. Mostly straightforward with the odd toughie, but there may be one or two hyphenated words, alternative spellings or short phrases in there, and remember it was compiled by a Brit. Quite a few there, so feel free to grab two or three smile

-1. Steal purloin
-2. Pig-like noise oink
-3. Basis of the Rorschach test ink-blot
-4. Yoga position lotus
-5. Vigorous or determined contest tussle

-22. Decadent, self-gratifying hedonistic
-23. Lowest speed of a running motor engine tickover

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

oldbroad - very close, but I think "tarsus" is more the ankle than the middle of the foot think Number 9 might help you to tweak it a frazzle... [Linked Image]

That's right Cheryl - I guess you guys use some strange term like "idle" lol
