Hi , I have been searching for a new game on Steam and often come across This Online co-op Anyone tell me what it means.

I have no idea what you might have found. Was it at the Steam website? Do you have a link?

If it was at Steam, it sounds like when two or more players can play a game together over a host server.

Just saw it on the up on the new releases The cryptic killer I guess its multi player
I am just getting back to playing as i have been hacked and my steam account was compromised as well, and it has been a nightmare but got passed it. After having to change all my passwords Phew !!!

You can play with other players as in multiplayer. However, many offer the option to play alone. There are lots of adventure/puzzle games like this and more are being released regularly. Great fun as I have played many such games and am always looking for people to pair up with.

There have been a few released recently and you can search the term Co-Op to find them. It's fun to play with others if you can coordinate the times!

You will not meet other players in a co-op game unless you have agreed beforehand to play together. You and who ever is going to meet you in game work together as teammates to explore and solve puzzles (some games allow up up to 6 players at once). All players must have a copy of the game installed. Generally there are no avatars. When looking for a game be sure it is online co-op and not local co-op.

If you are looking for a playing partner which is what you will need if you want to play co-op, give me a buzz. I'm on the west coast of Canada so there is an 8 hour time difference but I'm sure we could sort out a mutual time.
