EDIT: This time, I really did encounter a game ender of a bug; Sneak no longer works, at skill level 97. All game saves are corrupted. Spent half the day trying to find a fix. No workarounds. Impossible to contact the developer. No place to report bugs. What a waste of time that was.
Back to BG 3. That's a bummer. Checking around, the only available conduit to contact Bethesda about the bugs and/or suggestions (that I could locate) is through their Discord: https://discord.com/invite/bethesdastudiosI don't know how often their social media managers check the forums, but there's also a Reddit for Oblivion as well that might offer some guidance on bug submissions. https://www.reddit.com/r/oblivion/Also, this may be the best player home in Oblivion Remastered https://www.reddit.com/r/oblivion/comments/1kdlzvq/for_sale_1_bedroom_apartment_oblivion_views_no/Meet you at Elfsong Tavern

Love the home.
Somehow in Oblivion I always end up with all the houses except for the shack on the Waterfront and that nasty little shack in Leyawin. I can't recall the one in Bravil, so I don't think I've ever had it. Then I get all the DLC homes and end up with a fortune in stuff stashed all over the place. This time I was going to be more selective -- Frostcrag for my Alchemy stuff, for instance.
I'll just keep the game on my Deck until someone comes up with a fix.
Too bad BG3 isn't working on the Steam Deck any more. I might uninstall and reinstall and see if that helps.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Yeah, that home is game meme of the year I think. I usually start out with the Waterfront "house" and then eventually take the long way to Anvil in order to avoid the panicking elf from Kvatch encounter. I find the Anvil home just right for storing stuff and I like the basement expansion. That and the Thieves Guild tie-in between the Waterfront and Anvil makes it convenient since I usually get involved in those quests as early as the game allows.

Apologies for the double posting, but wanted to draw attention to this video by Gopher. He's going over some of the newer mods that allegedly fix certain bugs that exist in Oblivion Remastered. Full disclosure, I did not watch the full video since I no longer own the game, but Gopher has been a reliable ES content producer for quite some time, so I trust him to release useful information. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNZEZvXLkZI

In the end, everything went fine in my game, more or less, and I have now completed the Main Quest, Nights of the Nine, and I rule all of the Guilds. Normally I'm a much higher level at this point in the game, but the new levelling system has me at 35, with several skills and attributes at 100. I have used no mods so I'm going for the full badge completion this time.
I lost Shadowmere a while back. Normally I would have used the console to get her back, but I figure as a demon she's probably kicking some monster bu** somewhere and having time of her unlife.
My character has been heavily overloaded since the very start. She uses feather potions and spells, which got both Alchemy and Alteration up very fast.
I now go to visit the Island of Crazy.
The game looks really quite beautiful on the Deck and runs acceptably well.

I'm astonished that this game has got so much love from fans even when it carries over lots of negative things from the original game, such as the repetitiveness of the Oblivion Gates. You would think the feature that gives the game its name would be the best thing in the game, but no. Maybe the first time you see it and play it, you enjoy it. But you are expected to keep doing them. By the 5th time, you'll probably be tired of them. There isn't much variation in layout, environment, and goal. You just get in, grab the stone, and get out. I often just run past all the enemies to save time and resources, which is easy to do with the repetitive map layout of an Oblivion Gate. I played the original game when it came out, so I'm a little forgiving of the shortcomings. But to brand new players used to modern game mechanics, part of you needs to be prepared to be disappointed. The rumored Fallout 3 remake would be nice, but I would also be nervous about bringing back all the outdated mechanics of that game.

I know what you mean. GP. The Oblivion gates become dull very quickly. I only ever close the ones I have to now. I usually already have great equipment by the time I start closing them, and the Transcendent Sigil Stones aren't all that necessary.
When I got to the final Gate, the Battle of Bruma Gate, my Athletics was so good that I just jumped around the huge metal barriers, climbed the rocks, and went straight in, used Sneak and Chameleon to bypass the Deadra, and finished it in about 5 minutes.
I'm enjoying the game. I've got three more achievements and then I'll be done.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
