I got rid of a lot of "stuff" aka junk before I moved. John was an academic, and I swear he never got rid of a single piece of paper. It was all filed, some of it going back 40 years. My garage is mostly full of things I need, but have nowhere to put. I have to climb over things to get to other things. Most annoying. I miss the 5'8" "crawl" space that I had at my last home. I was able to stand up in it, so it was really a basement.

Hump day down and another day closer to the weekend.

We had an absolutely gorgeous day today. My grass is sprouting happily. I managed a nice long walk, then potted some herbs including a yummy-smelling chocolate mint. Trying to decide what to replace my dead Rhodo with. I'm thinking maybe a nice, hardy Pieris if I can find a low-growing one.

I didn't get much sleep last night...it rained all day yesterday...not as stormy as I expected, but I was stuck indoors...maybe thats why I didn't sleep well.

Gerry, I didn't sleep well last night either. I hope it wasn't the new BP medication, which I started yesterday. Hopefully it was just a nasty coincidence. The good news is that the lowest dose dropped my BP like a stone and it's normal after just one day.

Looks like another great day. I have to get to Costco at some point but other than that, I'll keep planting my herb garden.

This is a long holiday weekend here in the US. Monday is Memorial Day when we remember and honor those who have died in the Armed Forces of the country. Our American Legion post sponsors a parade, a Memorial service and the Auxiliary serves a BBQ pork steak/fried chicken meal afterwards. Hubby and I worked for many years up there, but have passed the torch to a younger generation. We will probably go for the meal and a couple of beers afterwards in the bar upstairs.

Very chilly weather for the weekend which is kind of considered to start off the summer. There have been years when we worked that it was in the 90's!

Glad to hear you BP is back in range - they don't call hypertension the silent killer for nothing! I've been on BP meds for almost 30 years.

It has been quite chilly and rainy here for the last few days in the 40s. I've been able to get in some nice walks between the rain drops. My watch keeps track of my walk "activities". I am walking a lot of miles each day...more than I thought.

Hagatha that is good news the meds are working on your bp. Draclvr lots of Memorial Day parades here all over the state this weekend to celebrate and honor those who gave their lives for our country.

It's been quite chilly at night but today looks great, weather-wise. I'm going to a neighbour's house for a bonfire later today but Gerry has inspired me to go for a walk, so that's first on the agenda for the day.

Good Saturday afternoon! Kind of a dreary cold day today which doesn't do much for my motivation to do anything! Maybe just a good day to do a little gaming.

Connie have a wonderful trip! Hagatha did you get to walk yesterday? I have been walking an average of 4 to 5 miles most days! The weather has been chilly making it nice for walking. Soon the warmer weather will be here and when it gets too hot I won't be walking as much so I am enjoying it while I can.

Soot I'm making a quick grocery run this morning...getting some strawberries and fresh baked biscuits and whipped cream. I feel the need for some strawberry short cake for a treat...got some ice cream to to go with it!

Good Sunday morning! Very cool and had yet another nice rain earlier. This is NOT a good start to the summer holidays! Many BBQs will have to move indoors. Hope it stays away for the Memorial Day Remembrances tomorrow.

Oh, my, Gerry! That sounds really good! I wish I could still walk 4 or 5 miles every day like I used to, but my poor bone-on-bone knees say no.

I hope Connie is having a wonderful trip.

We are having a video chat with our German family at noon today. They are not making their annual visit here this summer for only the second time in over 25 years. They didn't come during COVID and this year travel to the US is not recommended. So, we will have to rely on video chats to keep up!

Good Sunday morning Draclvr, Gerry, Hagatha, Connie, Mad, Fogfighter, SQF and all who get the chance to pop in. I brought some whole wheat, blueberry and cranberry bagels this morning to go with Gerry's wide awake double dark brew. That strawberry short cake sounds marvelous Gerry. Video chats are a great way to meet and talk Draclvr. Grocery run for me today I think as we prepare for our vacation this week at the lake.
