It's just so hard to know when the cancer has gone too far. I found out my vet will do home euthanasia if he is able to get it in his schedule.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to being able to see out!

Happy Wednesday afternoon! WOW! I was supposed to keep an ice pack on my eyes on the way home, but I couldn't stop just looking around. I am just amazed at what a difference this has made! I can tell this is going to be a miserable 3 or 4 days ahead though. So upstairs I go to use pillows to stay sitting up and get the ice going.

Glad you are home and that you can already tell what a difference this is going to make, Drac! Take good care of yourself and I hope you can get some decent resting time in.

So happy it was a success, Drac!! Yay to seeing better!

Good Thursday morning! I envy you your life with no drama or surgery, Fogfighter!

This morning I look like I was hit by a truck! I am developing an intimate relationship with my ice pack. This was a laser surgery under a local anesthetic. The smell of burning flesh was lovely! The stitches were the worst and very weird. Luckily, I don't have any actual pain, but everything is very, very sore. And so, I am heading back upstairs for more time with my icepack!

Ana, I know you've had this dreadful heat too, so it's good to hear you will be back to normal chaos!

We're having a couple of really gloomy overcast days now. My visiting friend and I went up to Coombs Market yesterday. Its primary claim to fame is a log building with a grass roof and a little shelter where goats live.

There is one very fine Italian restaurant there, where we had a great lunch, but otherwise, the market itself comprises a few ratty old buildings stuffed with cheap tacky tasteless clothing in garish polyester, and hundreds of incompetent carvings, including a chair shaped like a part of male anatomy that should never be made into furniture unless one is making up for some kind of insufficiency. Sadly, no photos were allowed so we weren't able to memorialize it for the folks at home.

Oh, my word, hagatha. Now I have this picture in my head!! This does sound like something you'd find down in the Missouri Ozarks where tacky roadside attractions abound.

Drac; I'm so glad the surgery went well, keep applying the ice & you will be back in no time. Hagatha; I've been to Coombs with my daughter & I know the chair that you speak of, quite tasteless in my opinion, but you're right, not much there. It's been cold & nothing but rain for the last two weeks here, we could use some sunshine & heat.

Judith, the fact that you've seen the chair too means that at least nobody has been gauche enough to actually buy it. Mind you, you'd have to be remarkably self-confident to leave the store with it.

Now I'm just dying to see this chair! LOL! I did a search and found it on a reddit post!

Good afternoon everyone. Wonderful news Draclvr...get well soon. Hang in there Ana and keep smiling. Quiet day here after last night's out-of-the-blue thunderstorm with atmospheric reverb, random lighting effects, and a very real possibility of needing a mop...broken limbs and leaves but no damage. I can only imagine what that chair looks like.
