Neyyah is set within a collection of remote almost abandoned islands,
separated by a series of complex portal machinery and laced with the
fingerprints of two intriguing cultures. You have been sent there by Vamir,
on a matter of urgency.

A wrong needs righting, one that will require you to traverse the islands,
linking the portals, unlocking contraptions and deciphering clues as you go.

Thank you flotsam and Drac! So, it sounds like you can save at will? Is it just one save or multiple?

This - “high expectations can unfairly result in reduced impressions.” - is something I suffer from. blush

This sounds and looks very good. I played the demo and really enjoyed it. Mechanical, FMV, islands.......right down my alley, how can you do any better. I like that stuff. Riven, one of my favorites, will no doubt be joined by Neyyah

Thanks for the detail flotsam

Thank you Drac

Having moved on a couple of hours, one thing I feel I should add is mention of the many cutscenes. These are generally short (pull a lever, go up in a lift, push a button, open a door) but they can also be a lot more elaborate (take a ride), but regardless of which, all add to the dynamism of the environment.
Completely unrelated, and in another nod to accessability, you can choose to make the texts in documents you find easier to read; the cursive and sometimes florid handwriting gets 'translated' into much more basic and easier to read text.

Several more hours in and it continues to deliver. I dare say it will also come in at a very decent playtime 😊

Thanks for the helpful review. You mentioned that the game provides feedback on whether a recent turn was a 90 degree turn or a 180 degree turn. If both types of turns are encountered, that is an essential feature. Not needed in Carol Reed games where the turns are rarely (if ever) 180 degree turns, but I sure would have appreciated knowing the type of turn I was making in Riddle of the Sphinx...at times I became very disoriented.

I point, therefore I click.
