We have just rented and watched the most surprisingly delightful little film, The Penguin Lessons with Steve Coogan: ideal for a gently humorous, sentimental and philosophical change from the frenzy and tension of some of the other options! thumbsup

We enjoyed the movie and I am now reading Tom Michell's book 'The Penguin Lessons'

Am enjoying a lighter crime-caper series called The Residence, involving a death at a White House state dinner. Think Ms Marple meets Knives Out. Not my usual fare but a welcome interlude.
That the state dinner was for the Australians just adds a little something taz

I'm just about to finish Season 3 of Foundation, after finishing Season 4 of For All Mankind. They've both been renewed, so more to look forward to.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Am definitely looking forward to more of For All Mankind.
Just finished Alien: Earth. I thought it was an excellent addition (the best alienish thing since the first two movies) and really hope there is another series.

We are watching the tv series Luther ... a British psychological crime thriller starring Idris Elba who I enjoy.

We watched Luther back when it first came out. It's quite the series. I think there may have been a later series that i haven't seen yet.

Luther has several seasons and they are all very good. Black Bunny on Netflix was good too.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

Currently enjoying the new series of Blue Lights, a first rate police thriller set in Northern Ireland: highly recommended! thumbsup

Luther was always good fun.

Watching the second season of Interview With the Vampire. I've read the book at least three times and followed with all the successive books in the Lestat/Louis story. Loving the series.

Someone gave me dvd's of James Burke's Connections from the late 70's and it is fascinating.
