We are getting ready to wash away, soot! Feel free to take all the water you want. Our basement is starting to flood, but this sometimes happens. No biggie at this point. We have learned to be resilient - around here, you have to be. I don't know if they are any good, but Amazon sells several different Pfeffernusse cookies. Connie, hoping all goes well for your friend. Drac, my positive thoughts for Mr. Gobbles too. And thank you for the beautiful Christmas card, Lex.

A Merry Christmas to all GameBoomers.
We went away on a Mexico - Riviera Crusie for two weeks, as our Christmas present to each other and came back home to find out we missed flooding, highways shut down, 100 km/h winds, and power out for many many hours. We were lucky the only damage was our fence was blown down, as were most in the neighbourhood! The fencing companies are going to have a happy new year.

Copper, It's been wild here in BC these last two weeks. At least where I am on Vancouver Island the rainwater washes downhill from me. I'm gad to hear your place was more or less intact. I

Good Friday morning. One Christmas gathering down yesterday. It was just dinner with my DIL's family. Had a nice surprise though when we got there - granddaughter got leave from the Army and drove up from her base in Texas. She hadn't planned on being here, so it was a treat to see her!
Made a carrot cake yesterday and will frost it today. Mixing up some Parker House rolls for our rib roast dinner tonight with my older son and his wife and daughter. Had a great family chat last night when my son who lives in Colorado put me on speaker-phone! And my little 9 year old neighbor who lives down at the horse rescue came up with her parents to give me a little Christmas gift for picking her up from the bus now and then. She is such a sweetie.
It was 75 degrees F here yesterday. Still warm today. It's just WRONG!
When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.
